Optimizing highlights in your LinkedIn profile
- Have you ever been especially proud of something at work? Maybe you won an award or wrote a great article or somebody featured you on the company website. Why would you want to keep all that goodness to yourself? You should be showing that off on your highlight section on LinkedIn. It's super easy to do. Let me show you how. Step one, head to linkedin.com and click the V icon in the upper right hand corner. From there, press this blue button that says view profile. You'll see a button here that says add section. Click that. From there, go to the second dropdown that says recommended. On the first line, you'll see add feature, click that and here we are. You can add an article, a link, a newsletter, even a photo, something that you want people to see about you when it comes to your work. Sweet, sweet, success. Now, people can see the things that you want them to see in your featured section. Remember, you don't have to settle with just one thing. The featured section allows multiple things to be put in here, so pick your favorites and take it away.
