Close a LinkedIn Ads Account

You can delete LinkedIn Ad accounts that were created by mistake or aren't needed.  

Who can use this feature?

You must be the billing admin on an ad account to delete the account. 

Important to know

Once an ad account has been deleted, the action can't be reversed and will apply to everyone on the account. When you delete an account, all campaign groups, campaigns, and ads in that account will also be deleted.

To delete an ad account:

  1. Sign in to Campaign Manager.

  2. Click the ad account in the top left, then click View all accounts in the bottom of the left menu.

  3. On the Detailed account list page, select the box next to the ad account you'd like to delete.

  4. Click the Delete icon at the top of the page.

  5. Click the Delete button to confirm.

When you delete an ad account, the status will show as Pending Deletion while we verify that there is no outstanding balance. This may take up to 24 hours.

  • If we determine an account has an outstanding balance it will remain as Pending Deletion until the balance is resolved.
  • Keep in mind, Pending Deletion status can't be reversed.

You can view deleted ad accounts that had performance metrics in Campaign Manager.

To view a deleted ad account:

  1. Sign in to Campaign Manager.

  2. Click the ad account in the top left, then click View all accounts in the bottom of the left menu.

  3. On the Detailed account list page, click the Filters dropdown.

  4. Select Deleted.

  5. From here, you can view the deleted account's performance metrics.
