It's good for reliving purposes
girob_r_gbcuu1r· Review provided by ebay.com · August 17, 2017
I bought this game to relive the era this game represent. Like every WWE game in the last decade (or more), the WWE games represent the period between august of the previous year (Summerslam weekend) to the year it's released. It works as a time capsule. So this games has things exclusive things based on mid-2013 to mid-2014 like the final form of the Shield before being broken up, Batista's return, the two belt version of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, Corey Graves as a playable character, final game with Rey Mysterio and Cm Punk as well as the debut of NXT as a promotion in the game. It also has two "Story modes" reliving two of the biggest rivalries in WWE (with 3 more stories available for DLC), which was a great time to play through. The problem i have, is due to playing the later games before this one. I was taking a sabbatical from wrestling games when this game came out until last year, where i bought 2k14 for a low price and later 2k16, followed by 2k17. The gameplay shifted to a different style with this game that 2k16-7 perfected, as such, this gameplay feels a bit more rough. So my review if this game is that it workd great as a time capsule, but it's gameplay is behind it's follow ups, as it should be. I give it a 7.5 (between good and very good)
Excellent Game

The graphics are great. This is a fun video game. I enjoy playing it. You can play as John Cena, Kofi Kingston, Wade Barrett, Mark Henry, The Great Khali, Randy Orton, The Undertaker and many more other WWE Superstars. I personally play with John Cena a lot. He's my favorite WWE Superstar. Also, The Great Khali... But yeah, you can choose who you want to play as and who you want to wrestle with. In this game you can play a one on one match, two on two match, handicap match, submission match, table match... You can play as a male or female. You can create a WWE Superstar. You can create women and men. You can even try to create a monster if you want. You can try to create anyone you like. My favorite game mode in this game, is WWE Universe. I love playing that game mode. WWE Universe can set up matches for you. For example, if WWE Universe put John Cena vs Khali, I will definitely be Cena. "This game is fun to play" (Love playing it)
No respect for previous generation consoles

I really should have done more research into this product before purchasing. Without a proper description of the features of the game on this site, I fully bought this expecting some form of career mode. The whole reason why I loved WWE games was the ability to create a superstar and insert them into the rosters, fighting my way up to being the World Champion.

The MyCareer Code is only available on PS4/XBOX One.

So the one reason I bought this game, I can't use it for. The number of wrestlers available is limited compared to previous versions, and is therefore missing essential wrestlers from the previous games (you give us Goldberg, then you take him away-). There are some new characters but you have to pay extra for them. The entrance themes and music etc look nice, but aren't actually kept up to date with the real-life counterparts (some changed their entrance videos two years ago, and yet it still uses the old one)

The controls are incredibly fidgety, and difficult to get a hold of, and the general look of the game is cheap. While I could put my wrestler in the roster to try get him to be the champion, I couldn't actually play as him in those matches; I could only watch. And watching was excruciating. It was like watching rock'em sock'em robots.

While I knew not to expect the graphics or performance to be as good as the next gen consoles, I wasn't expecting to have the main features removed completely, to the point that the game was wore than 2K14.

I honestly regret this purchase. I've had the game for little over 24 hours, and I don't even want to play it anymore. I've had PS1 games that were better.
Excellent Game

It's in great condition. I love the game so much I play it everyday. DKOldies was the cheapest place I can find the game and I do not regret my decision for paying for it. I hope to buy more games in the future from yall and I hope yall continue to do great things!
