All Guidelines

Mobile Accessibility Guidelines

All BBC websites and apps must conform to the Mobile Accessibility Guidelines. These guidelines are applicable for responsive websites, native and hybrid apps, interactive content, and increasingly for TV apps.

Subtitles

The BBC Subtitle Guidelines describe the requirements and best practice for deaf and hard-of-hearing subtitles. Combining documents previously published by BBC and OfCom, they are intended to serve as the basis for all subtitle work across the BBC (online and broadcast). This document should be consulted by anyone who provides or processes subtitles - authors, editors, producers, and software developers.

Guide to Accessible HTML Documents

The BBC Guide to Accessible HTML Documents brings together a set of recommendations for how HTML documents can meet the Mobile Accessibility Guidelines. It builds on and updates previous guidance.
