Very Effective and Super Portable
I'm 53 and have suffered from sporadic but recurrent lower back pain for years. When it flares up, usually as a result of some activity or circumstance that exacerbates it, it affects my lower back and sciatic nerve down into my leg. I was doing well recently, exercising regularly and feeling good, until we spent Thanksgiving at my in-laws and slept on their murphy bed (the kind that folds up into the wall). It's a terrible bed and I returned home with my back aching almost continually - bearable but pretty constant. Ordered this hoping for something small but effective for stretching my back, and it accomplishes both even better than I expected.The device is a little smaller in person that I expected. It's the kind of thing that can easily be stowed in a closet or perhaps slid under a bed if it has decent clearance. It's lightweight but very sturdy. I'm about 6'1" and weigh 215 lbs and it handles me without any concern for it's stability and durability. It's quite easy to use too. I was a bit worried about whether getting on and off would be difficult, especially in the midst of a back pain flare up, but it's not. If you can get up and down off the floor, you'll be fine. You just sit with your back against it and lean back - that's it. I wondered if I would topple over backwards until my head hit the floor behind me, but the design and gravity prevent any out-of-control movements. It's easy to control your range of motion, gently going farther back as is comfortable. I find it works best when I completely relax all of my muscles as much as possible - my neck, shoulders, upper back, lower back, buttocks, thighs, etc. That's easier said than done, especially when your back is hurting, so it's best to take it slow.I felt relief literally the first time I used it. I don't mean to imply that my back was instantly pain free and stayed that way, but the sharpness of the pain decreased after a few minutes of use. I plan to use it twice a day, morning and night, to treat my current pain and prevent future flare ups. What makes it so effective is that it provides a gentle and safe way to get the kind of inverted stretch most lower back pain needs. It just plain works, for me at least.If you're looking for a small, affordable, and very portable way to get a safe inversion stretch for your back, this one definitely deserves a look. I'm thrilled with it.

Note: although I had experienced an issue w/ the original unit received, the seller took charge & handled the issue ASAP - this review is based on both the unit & seller & both are 5 stars.

About the unit:
1. Quick-easy assembly.
2. Easy storage & lightweight.
3. Just works. The thoracic spine relief is apparent fairly quickly. Some lumbar spine relief is there as well depending on the positioning used.
4. This unit can be used by almost any able-bodied person.
5. I do have a fairly high-end inversion table as well & this unit does kinda compare, but it is much better for thoracic spine relief than a regular inversion table.

6 & last, but not least... as customers, we should consider doing business with responsible & caring sellers. I for one will be purchasing more of these from this seller in the future.

P.S. My ex-GF says she is ordering one as she has a large chest/breasts & explained the relief she experienced was almost immediate & sustainable after just 2 uses (yesterday & today). She highly recommends this for anyone with a D cup chest & above, athlete or not.

When they say it's easy to put together...THAT IS FREAKING CORRECT! I like it so much that I got another one coming to me that I will take to work. I have a Teeter inversion table and I use it almost every day. But this little contraption is just a push to use on the spur of the moment. YOU would quite likely benefit from one of these too. And I have no connection to this company other than the simple wish that they make one with only 3 of those cylindrical bars on it.
