The numerous reviews complaining of a difficult install was not an experience that I shared at all. I found it quite easy to put together and it's been a significant improvement over the stock magnetic-clasp Samsung band for several reasons:
~ Retention - The stock magnetic clasp is nice in theory but if you do a lot of work with your hands you'll find that it is constantly being disengaged, usually at the worst possible moments. The stock band will be fine for some but if you aggressively interact with the world it will quickly become an irritation. No such concerns with this Spigen band. Solid, dependable and you won't be worrying about your watch falling off your wrist.
~ Durability - The stock magnetic band is made with thin plastic and tiny metal parts which, when subjected to what I consider to be normal and average use will fail, causing your heart to skip a beat as you think you're about to lose your completely overpriced Samsung watch. The Spigen band is solid and positive...put it on and you won't have to fuss with it. It doesn't have a 'cheap feel' and I've had no construction issues with it.
~ Protection - Not only does the Spigen band provide a much better degree of impact protection, I find that I am accidentally activating the face of the watch far less often, and am not accidentally activating the control buttons at all anymore. It necessitates a more deliberate interaction to manipulate functions of the watch, which I really appreciate.

If you have a very serene existence you will probably not be needing this at all, but if you work with your hands or play rough, this is a necessity. Buy it with confidence; highly recommended.

Solid case/band; slightly tough to fit

I thought this one was the wrong model but it eventually fit. I have the Heavy Duty Supcase and this one. I like both. The Supcase is bulkier and looks more rugged. The Spigen from looking closely will protect about the same. The Supcase is much easier to remove and replace. The Spigen fits very tight and you don't have to worry about it becoming too loose. The directions are straight forward but doesn't mention he real life scenarios. When you put your watch in put the bottom in. Then the watch button section. Be sure you watch carefully bc the lip for the button will push against your watch buttons so be sure to pull on the lip over the watch buttons so you don't damage them. Then there is a lip on the top band. Bend it back and allow the band lip to flip over the top part of the watch. Then it'll pop right in snug. For me I pulled on the bands "watch button lip" and the top watch band lip at the same time and it slipped in.

As far as fit, the Spigen fits nice and smooth as the plastic if more flexible. The Supcase is a bit of a hard plastic. Overall, I'll be wearing this one for a good while. My opinion, buy both and swap them out when you feel the need to change things up as they both look good. The Spigen feels better when strapping and fit in my opinion as the softer plastic allows for easier contour of your own wrist.

I want to start off by saying that this band is a great case + band if you are looking primarily for protection for your expensive galaxy watch 5 pro. The band is comfortable and sits nicely on my wrist. I like how it feels and I personally prefer the pin buckle such as this band over the magnetic buckle that comes with the standard samsung band as I am able to adjust the width of the band to match my wrist needs when my body's hydration changes. So, about the band itself,

Here's what I've liked so far
+ Solid band that offers great protection to your watch
+ Rugged design that appeals to myself
+ Comfortable to wear and move around
+ I've had workout sessions on this and haven't had any issues with needing to clean it often
+ Solid buckle with loop so far and is easily adjustable

What I've not been a fan of
- Installing the watch is so hard that you do not want to change the strap often. I really wish Spigen would've made it even 25% easier. But this is not my biggest grip yet
- The color offerings on this band are not the best. Wish Spigen would've offered more color options. I am sure there are many people who would've liked to get different options than just the 2.

This case is awesome! It really changed up the appearance of my watch pro 5! This thing does add some bulk but if you like larger watches you'll be fine. I have very small wrists and it's a very comfortable fit. This company also makes smaller shells that allow you to keep the original band on the watch if you want. I personally went with this one because I like the look of the g-shock style watch and it didn't disappoint. I've gotten compliments from coworkers on my watch as well! I did not have any difficulty installing the watch into the case as other reviewers stated they had. I didn't rate how easy it is to remove it from the case since I haven't done so yet. Also don't have a screen protector on the watch but not to worried about it. This case does cover a bit of the internal bezel but also sticks out from the watch enough I'm not to worried about something hitting the screen. Below are a few pros and cons.

Pros
1. Fully protects the new watch pro 5
2. The band is comfortable, more so than I expected.
3. Material feels like it's high quality

Cons
1. Can't charge on a wireless charging pad with this case on. Have to use the little magnetic cord it comes with. This is the same issue if you leave the original band on the watch.
2. May be a bit bulky for some people.
3. Install may be a bit difficult for some people.

Like everything there are PROs and CONs for this watch band.

PROs: It is durable, looks great, perfect fit for the watch, and protects the Galaxy 5Pro from all sorts of bangs and drops. I wear my watch face down with the main part under my wrist, so it tends to take a beating from all my daily adventures. This strap has, thus far, saved my watch from several hits. The design is great, the aesthetics are fantastic and it fits very comfortably.

CONs: if you are not a bulky watch kind of person, then do not get this. It adds a bit of bulk, but still maintains a light feel. The design renders the Simulated radial dial - useless as the part of the screen needed to swipe there gets covered by the design. Also, if you swim in salty areas, just do not wear the watch, as the way the Galaxy 5Pro fits into the strap, there are areas that salt water can stagnate and create rust points or salt damage. Make sure that you rinse your watch with fresh water and shake it dry. Due to the tight fit of the design, you will not want to remove your Galaxy watch out of it too much, as I always fear I am going to break one of the push buttons on the side off in doing so.

OVERALL: The watch is great! I really like the look, feel, and protection of my Galaxy watch. As I have only had it for a week now, longevity is another question. But that will be a follow on review for sure. Either way, it only costs $30. So if it breaks? I am pretty sure I will just buy a replacement.
