Nov. 8--Third-quarter revenue for Jacksonville-based Website Pros Inc. jumped 19 percent over a year ago, although the increase was not as much as the company had expected.
The increase in revenue to $12 million helped lead to a profit of $1.4 million, or 7 cents per fully diluted common share, for the company, which provides Web services and online marketing for small and medium-sized businesses. In the year-ago quarter, after paying out $340,000 in preferred stock dividends (which were not paid this quarter), the company posted a loss of $322,000, or 6 cents per diluted common share.
Website Pros' subscriber base increased 16 percent from a year ago to 57,000 subscribers, the company said in a release, a number down about 1,000 from the second quarter. …
