More insights and features to help you keep up with demand on the go

November 19, 2021

The Google Ads mobile app makes it easy for you to stay connected to your campaigns on the go. To help you stay on top of holiday demand and monitor performance, you can now see more explanations with Performance Insights, review Search trends and create campaigns directly in the mobile app.

Monitor your campaigns with improved performance insights

Whether you’re optimizing new or existing campaigns, it’s key to understand any performance changes in your account. Performance insights makes this easy—it provides you with a real-time notification if there’s a significant change, an explanation describing why the change occurred, and in some cases, a recommendation to help you resolve the issue.

To help you better understand performance fluctuations, we’re adding more explanations to performance insights. You’ll now be able to see explanations based on changes to your bid and budget strategies, shifts in search interest, and more. You’ll also see performance insights for positive changes in performance, so you can better understand what worked in your campaigns and replicate it in the future.

Keep up with consumer demand in real-time with Search trends

We’ve added Search trends to the mobile app to help you keep up with consumer demand no matter where you are. For example, let’s say you’re a grocery retailer looking to reach more customers. With Search trends, you may notice a rising trend for “cookie decorating kits” and “bread & pastry dough”. You can then act on these trends by creating new campaigns for these products, and even update your in-store and online merchandising as well.

If you tap into the Search trend, you’ll be able to see the popular searches associated with that trend. For example, a grocery store might see a trend for “pies & tarts” with growing searches for “apple pie” and “pumpkin pie”. You may also see a recommendation to help ensure your account is optimized for emerging trends. To keep up with consumer demand in real-time, you can create a custom notification to alert you when new search trends are relevant to your business.

Create campaigns on the go

You can now create a Search campaign directly in the Google Ads mobile app with just a few taps. By tapping the “plus” button on the bottom right of your screen, you’ll be able to select your campaign type, where you’d like your ads to appear and other campaign settings.

For example, let’s say you’re a fashion retailer and you notice an increase in demand for sweatshirts over the weekend. Now, you can use the mobile app to quickly create a campaign for sweatshirts to capture rising demand. Once your campaign is up and running, you can then monitor and optimize performance inside the app as well.
