How to erase the eSIM on your iPhone or iPad
Find out how to erase and delete your eSIM, if you need to.
You may need to erase your eSIM if:
You’ve transferred the eSIM’s data plan or phone number to another device
You're going to sell, trade in or give away your device
Don’t erase your eSIM as a troubleshooting step unless directed to by your network provider.
If you erase your eSIM, you’ll need to contact your network provider to get a new one. Then set up your new eSIM.
To erase your eSIM on your iPhone
Go to Settings.
Tap Cellular. Then:
If you have a single plan, tap Delete eSIM.
If you have multiple plans, tap the plan you want to erase. Then tap Delete Plan.
To erase your eSIM on your iPad
Go to Settings.
Tap Mobile Data. Then:
If you have a single plan, tap Delete eSIM.
If you have multiple plans, tap the plan you want to erase. Then tap Delete Plan.
If you erase all content and settings from your iPhone or iPad, you can choose to erase your eSIM as well or keep it.
If you want to cancel your mobile plan, you still need to contact your network provider to cancel the plan.
