Nate runs into Audra in the jazz lounge and he asks, “Where’s Tucker?” They’re usually joined at the hip. Audra tells him they’re in a good place. Nate misses their friendship. Audra tells him, “Then stop badgering me about Tucker.” Nate says he’s an SOB who deserves far worse than badgering. Audra brags about Tucker turning the lounge into a Parisian café and proposing to her. Nate thinks it’s a red flag. He’s trying to create a better version of his failed Paris honeymoon with Ashley. He’s disappointed she can’t see it for what it is.

Audra thinks he’s reaching; she’s known Tucker for years. Nate isn’t swayed. He hopes she wasn’t foolish enough to accept his marriage proposal. She wonders why he’s so concerned about what she does with Tucker. Nate says friends tell each other the truth. Audra purrs, “Are you sure that’s all it is, Nate?” She suggests he has a secret infatuation with her. Nate asks if it would matter to her if he told her there was. “If I were, which I’m not. I wouldn’t be so subtle about it.” Audra scoffs, “Whatever. I’m just giving you a hard time.” Nate just wonders what it would take to get her away from that man. He’s relieved when she tells him she turned down his proposal. Audra explains she still wants to be with him. Nate gets a text message and wishes he could continue the conversation. “Audra, you need to take those blinders off.” Tucker will break her heart. The fact that he had to recreate Paris and substitute her for Ashley should tell her everything she needs to know. Nate says he knows she deserves better. “I hope you know it too.”

At the Abbott mansion, Ashley’s alter, Ms. Abbott, takes a call from Alan, who is dining at the Club. He tells her he booked a flight for Europe this afternoon and would like to see her before he goes. She’s sure he wants to psychoanalyze her.

As Alan tells her he’s her friend, the alters start battling inside her head. She asks Alan to hold on as she grimaces. Alan asks, “Are you still there?” When she answers, Belle is back in control. She tells him she’ll come to his hotel room. After disconnecting, she hoots, “Oh yeah! Feels so good to be free! Y’all are gonna be so grateful you let me out. Here I come!”

At Crimson Lights, Abby and Devon wonder why Mamie called an emergency meeting at Chancellor-Winters today. Devon says Billy won’t be there, but Nate and Lily will. As they chat, Tucker walks in. She tells Devon not to engage. Tucker sidles up and she scoffs that he’ll try and butter them up with his nice guy routine. Tucker says she’s right. “There’s a favor I would like to ask of you both.”

Devon and Abby balk, but Tucker asks them to hear him out. He’s on the email list for Dom’s music group and knows there’s a performance coming up. He wants to go to it. Devon thinks it’s best he stays away, so the day is about Dom and not him. “Nothing’s changed since the last time I told you to keep your distance.” They turn to go, but Tucker stops them. He asks Abby if her mother is doing any better. She frowns, “Better than what?” Tucker is concerned and hopes she’s found her footing. Abby tells him the scene in Paris is in ancient history. Tucker asks if she’s spoken to her lately… in person. Abby rants and Devon wonders what he’s getting at. Tucker thinks she might want to check in on her. He excuses himself. Abby sniffs that he’s still talking about her mother, which means he hasn’t changed at all.

Mamie walks into Lily’s office. Lily says she’s early. Mamie wanted to talk before the meeting. She regrets their last conversation becoming heated. Lily would like to make peace too. She asks what this meeting is about. Mamie would like to wait until everyone arrives, and says, “I promise. It will be worth it.”

Lily tells Mamie she’ll have to pass on her meeting today; she’s too busy. Mamie insists she must be there. Lily warns there can be no surprises. Just then, Abby, Devon, and Nate file in and greet Mamie. Lily points out Billy’s not there. Mamie says he won’t be coming. Lily argues that Billy is a member of the board. If this is important, he should be there. Mamie says the meeting is for family only and she includes Abby in that. Abby thanks her, but doesn’t think this is a time to divide into camps. “Billy is my family too.” Mamie says that in every family decisions have to be made for the greater good. This one is really dysfunctional. She tells Lily she’s given her enough time to settle back in. Lily asks what she’s thinking. Mamie has them all sit. “I believe it’s time for us to reassess.” There’s been a splintering inside their family. She thinks Billy and Jill have caused them to turn on each other and that’s why she’s there. “I’m going to fix this.”

Nate thinks Mamie is over-reacting. Lily says they have disagreements like every other company, but they work it out. Mamie accuses Lily of punishing Nate by keeping him off the board of directors. Nate sees Lily’s point. Mamie thinks he deserves a medal for turning the other cheek. Nate says he betrayed the company and the family. The only reason he’s sitting here is because of his cousins’ forgiveness. “I think if there’s any tension around here, it’s coming from you.” He points out that she hates Jill and doesn’t trust Billy because of it. Mamie says she doesn’t hate anyone, but she has trust issues with the two of them. She wants them out of there so they can make this into the family business it was intended to be.

Devon reminds Mamie that Jill brought Chancellor into the merger. “This was never meant to just be about our family, you know that.” Mamie doesn’t think it’s lost on them that Devon is the only Chancellor sitting in this room. Nate says she’s cherry-picking details and creating a war. Mamie thinks he’s exaggerating. Nate doesn’t think so… this whole ‘rally the family against Billy and Jill’ meeting tells him he’s not. Mamie asks, “Is that what you think too, Lily?” Lily says, “Yeah. I think things are starting to get out of hand.” She agrees that Billy has an agenda. Mamie says, “Finally someone gets it.” Lily continues, “But I think Devon does too.” Abby tells Lily, “That’s not fair.” Lily says they can resolve these things, but that’s not what Mamie wants. Nate is right. “You want a war, and you don’t care if it brings this whole place crashing down on us.”

At the Club bar, Ashley’s alter, Belle, enthusiastically greets Alan, and apologizes for her prior behavior. He forgives her. Ashley isn’t mad at him. “Honestly, I feel like you’re the only person in my life I can actually trust.” Alan is eager to hear whatever she has on her mind.” As they laugh and talk, Tucker watches from the stairway.

Tucker joins them and introduces himself to Alan before asking how they know each other. Belle says it’s none of his business. Alan says they met in Paris years ago and have been friends ever since. Tucker supposes he knows who he is then. Alan admits they’ve discussed him. Tucker groans. Belle says Alan made her realize she was wrong about the fight in the café. Tucker learns he’s a psychologist and thinks his timing couldn’t be better. Belle tries to get rid of Tucker, and tells him Alan’s not there to crack open her skull and take a peek inside. Audra appears and Belle says it’s great timing. She asks Audra to keep a closer eye on her boyfriend. Tucker introduces Audra to Alan. Audra feels they shouldn’t intrude and pulls Tucker away by the arm and up the stairs. Belle asks Alan, “Where were we before we got so rudely interrupted?”

At Chancellor-Winters, Mamie gawps, “Oh, so now I’m the problem!” Lily says she is. Jill wouldn’t even have brought Billy in if she hadn’t created so much dissension. “You’re undermining everything I’ve worked so hard to build up.” Mamie says that’s her point. She’s built this up, not Jill. Lily argues that Jill does a lot for Chancellor-Winters and even if she didn’t, half the company is hers. Mamie appeals to Devon. “You know I’m right, don’t you.” They just have to figure out how to get Billy and Jill out for good. Have they ever executed the vision Neil and Devon had for this company? Devon says they have some issues with Billy and Jill, but the reality is that they didn’t have any of them before she showed up in town. “I think that problem might just be you.”

In their suite, Audra asks what Tucker thought about Ashley’s friend. Tucker pretends to be unaffected. Audra thinks it would be wonderful if Ashley had a passionate affair with him and went to an island. Tucker doesn’t think it’s romantic. Audra knows Ashley’s in a bad place, but she’s tired of running into her and doesn’t know which of her many moods she’ll be running into. They manage to agree someone should be doing something about it. Tucker complains that Abby doesn’t even seem to know anything’s wrong with her mother. Audra argues that it’s Ashley’s private business. She calls him out for not picking up on the vibe down there. Ashley looked like she was about to devour the guy. If she gets her way, there will be more than therapy between those two.

Tucker denies seeing any vibe between Ashley and Alan. Audra says it was obvious to anyone. It was in the body language. She understands he doesn’t want to see her with anyone else. “That’s fine. I’m not threatened by Ashley.” Tucker says, “Good.” He admits he’s mad at himself. He keeps telling her he’s letting it go, then she walks into the room and he’s sitting there with her. He does still care about her and her family is obviously in denial. Tucker wanted to make sure Alan was there for her. Switching gears, Tucker tells Audra he has a surprise for her. He’s spoken to all the heads of the companies they’ve acquired in Europe and everything’s back on track, so they can go to Paris. Audra has a less than enthusiastic response and asks if they can go other places in Europe as well. He tells her they can go wherever her heart desires. They start kissing and undressing as she lets him know she’s very happy. “This trip will be so good for us, Tucker. One thing though… I don’t want any pressure about this marriage proposal.” Tucker agrees, but he should be allowed to hope that Europe will have its own seduction. Audra says the ring will never be on her finger, but she’s open to whatever seduction he can manage. They head to bed.

In the Club dining room, Ashley’s Belle tells Alan that Audra is too smart to be with Tucker. When he notes an ex moving on can be quite traumatic, Belle insists it’s been put in a drawer to never be opened again. Tucker is with the person he belongs with, “And so am I.” She asks Alan if he’ll change his mind and stay in Genoa City. “We have so much to catch up on.” Alan agrees. “I would like to spend more time with you.”

More: The trouble with Ashley’s alters

At Chancellor-Winters, Mamie never thought she would see the day her own family would talk about her like this. “I’m heartbroken.” They assure her that they love her and that will never change. Mamie insists she’s only there to build things up, not tear them down. Nate points out she literally said it was time to blow things up. Mamie denies it. Devon says, “Regardless of what you said there’s a little too much at stake for us to let you take a swing at Jill and Billy the way you want.” They explain how it all keeps coming back to her. Mamie doesn’t see it. She sees three overly-entitled, under-experienced, wanna be adults, who are too afraid to take a leap of faith with her… their longest living relative and staunchest defender. “You are all looking for someone to blame but your own insecurities. Well, that is not me! I’m appalled by your cowardice.” She may be the only person in the room who knows what family means. “And in case you didn’t notice, I am fully disgusted with mine!”

Abby thinks they should all take a step back and calm down. Mamie thinks it’s too late for that. They’ve established that they think she’s a destructive force in her own family. She’s loved and supported them her entire life. Lily says that just because they don’t want office chaos, doesn’t mean they don’t want her. She pleads with her aunt not to let this come between them. Ignoring Lily, Mamie clucks, “Even you, Nate. You know you wouldn’t even be in this room if I hadn’t intervened on your behalf. That’s what families do; they stand by each other.” Devon argues that’s what they’re doing now by drawing a line between personal and professional issues. Mamie fumes, “This is betrayal, and I’m never going to forget it. I am angry and hurt beyond words. However, I have a big stake in this company, and I have no intention of letting go of that. So, whether you like it or not, you’ll be seeing more of me.” With that, she storms out. Nate muses, “I think we just made another enemy.”
