Young & Restless Drops Pics That Not Only Suggest a ‘Shick’ Reunion, But Also the Return of [Spoiler]

Young & Restless viewers have long been complaining about Sharon Newman all but dropping off the canvas along with her children. Also feeling the pinch were “Shick” fans hoping for a reunion between Nick and his first wife. Well, we’re happy to report that just-dropped set photos taken on May 8, suggest a turning of the tide!

Nick was up to his eyeballs in chapter one of the Jordan storyline. Not only was he lured to the lake house and poisoned, but he ended up getting stabbed by the crazy auntie when he tried out some heroics. In the latter rounds of the Newmans’ battles with the pscyho, he’s been less present, presumably holding things down at the office while Victor tortures Jordan, Victoria bonds with Claire, and Adam grapples with Connor’s heart-rending situation.

In a new photo from the set, Nick’s back at the ranch and pictured with both of his parents. As we know from previews, Nikki arrives home from her stint in rehab this week… and she’s looking good!

Circling back to Sharon, when her relationship with Chance went sour and he moved on to dating Summer, we began seeing less and less of her. Now, it’s been weeks since she’s been on in any appreciable capacity. She’s popped up at Adam’s and the Abbott mansion to dole out her customary cautious advice as Genoa City’s resident therapist stand-in, but there have been exactly zero scenes showing us what she’s actually been up to. We assume she’s running her new tech firm (as we no longer see her at Crimson Lights either), but we can’t be sure.

In a bit of good news for Sharon fans, she’s finally been spotted, if not on the soap, then in new photos dropped by Young & Restless. In these new pictures she’s posed with none other than Nick, her ex-husband, who also just happens to be suddenly single after his split from Sally. Is a “Shick” reunion finally a brewin’?!

As Sharon disappeared from our screens, so too, did her family. Mariah and Tessa moved into a new home with Baby Aria to make way for Victoria, Cole, and Claire to play happy families in the tackhouse, and we’ve yet to even see their abode. Although we caught a glimpse of Tessa when she interacted with Daniel at Society recently, there’s been no Mariah in sight.

Sharon and Nick’s son, Noah, apparently decided to stay overseas when he went over there with Allie, as they haven’t been seen or heard from since. Faith, meanwhile, has spent an inordinate amount of time away at college and hasn’t been home since she popped in to get kidnapped by the late Cameron Kirsten. We’ve no idea if she’s still dating Moses Winters or how her life is going.

But if the new photos from the Young & Restless set are anything to go by, and we hope they are, it looks like Sharon’s family is being resurrected. Still no sign of Noah, but Mariah and Tessa appear in the new photos, and Reylynn Caster is back on set as Faith. Perhaps the happiest news is that the shots are taken not in Crimson Lights, but in Sharon’s home. A wonderful sign of things to come!
