In my experience, you see a lot of ups and downs in recruiting. The goal for yourself is to stay consistent. Even when you may be experiencing a heavy req load, a difficult to hire role, or any other series of issues that can happen- don’t let that define your work. Instead take pride that you’ll get through it by forging ahead. Take stock of the things you can celebrate. Praise others ( that’s always a feel good pick me up). Take a walk outside. Resilience is all about emotional intelligence. Flex your EI to see where the bright spots are, have the self awareness to know when you need a break, and stay connected to your team.

One of the challenges of anchoring the role of Recruiter - huge balancing of expectations with respect to external positioning with potential candidates, and internal business expectations of getting “ best fit” candidates at lowest cost , value aligned and at an “awesome speed”. The way to handle this best , is to ensure conscious investment to be in the trenches, know your talent market, target segment, studying norms of hiring, and set realistic expectations with business, and being passionate about ensuring best hiring experience to candidates as clearly defining “non-negotiable”. End of the day getting talent which assimilates well, and we donot lose them early, and at the same time avoid culture mismatch-is the win-celebrate it often.

Building strong relationships with your stakeholders - hiring managers, candidates, HR partners 2. Asking great questions and actively listening to the hiring manager and your candidates. Understand the nature of the role you are recruiting for, what it takes to be successful and why someone would be excited about it. Take the time to understand what is important to each candidate- don’t make assumptions based upon their resume 3. Communication Remember to laugh - despite the route being the same each journey is different.

I employ below strategies Focused Time Blocking: I allocate specific time blocks in my calendar for each recruitment requirement. This helps maintain focus and ensures that each task receives the attention it deserves. Quality Over Quantity: Rather focusing on the no. of profiles, I prioritize quality. My goal is to present approximately four top-notch profiles for each requirement. To avoid burnout and maintain motivation, I shuffle different recruitment tasks throughout the day. Institutional Partnerships: I reach out to educational institutions or training centers that offer zero-cost hiring. They have well-trained individuals ready for employment.
