As BA's, we have many tools at our disposal. But the fact remains that no tool can replace the experience and know-how of the entrepreneur who's been there, done that, regardless of what type of business it is. Advanced tools always make your work easier, and knowing how to implement them is also a standard in the IT industry. But don't get me wrong. No tool, software, or IT implementation can detect human behavior when they know what the data does, this may bet the cause of the problem. Issues are often discovered after data is analyzed and implemented by IT. But, If the behavior of the individual or directive does not change or is not recognized, BA or IT will continue to circle back to the same problem.

Lean processing is a mechanical industry process aiming for reducing waste, streamlining manufacturing by ensuring reduction of mean time between or during multiple steps. It usually result in highly optimised processing. Six sigma is a target to achieve and maintain whereby every opportunity for failure is identified and processes optimised for the reduction of such failures. Now, in software, these two different aspects have been taken together. A huge portion of learning from the manufacturing processes have been lost when interpreting these with respect to software world.

If you want to be fast and agile, keep things simple. Speed isn’t the result of simplicity, but simplicity enables speed. #agile #projectmanagement #processautomation
(Lean) Six Sigma is a tool, which helps finding bottle-necks and reduce waste etc. But it`´s not suitable for all kind of challenging problems to create value and reduce waste. From my point of view it depends on the environment in which we operate and what knowledge we have already built up. For example, SIXSIGMA may be the right approach in complicated systems, while in simple systems we may be much more successful with lean methods. Or you have to choose an #agile approach because the #complexity of the solution is very high and you have a lot of uncertainties Thats why i always try to combine a good mix of all possible methods.
