Täysin elokuvallisessa draamassa Elviksen tarinaa lähestytään mutkikkaan suhteen perspektiivistä kuvattuna, joka tällä oli salaperäisen managerinsa ”Eversti” Tom Parkerin kanssa. Parkerin kertoma elokuva sukeltaa kaksikon monimutkaiseen dynamiikkaan yli 20 vuoden ajalta, Presleyn noustessa ennennäkemättömäksi tähdeksi, ja peilaa sitä kulttuurin muutosta ja Amerikan viattomuuden kadottamista vasten. Tuolle matkalle olennaista on myös yksi Elviksen elämän merkittävistä ja vaikutusvaltaisista henkilöistä, Priscilla Presley.

Great movie, Austin Butler is a fantastic actor, although they could've found someone better. Some parts may have been a little exaggerated, and some dialogue could've been better, but all in all it's a great movie. I'd rate it an 8/10

As a lifelong Elvis fan, this was a good movie very entertaining. The only thing that bothered me was how fast they jumped over alot of very important events in Elvis life, overall the King got the treatment he deserved, the movie is very good.

I can’t understand how this movie hasn’t scored a full 5 stars. It was brilliant and Austin Butler was phenomenal. His acting was artwork and that in itself deserved the highest rating. Tom Hanks as always is a superb actor. No movie based on real life is ever 100% accurate in the eyes of critics and diehard fans but take the movie for what it is and the heart and soul that was poured into Austin’s performance.
