A corrupt governor grants a reprieve to an African American convict if the condemned man agrees to serve as sheriff of a small Western town, believing that new sheriff will only live long enough to serve the needs of the governor and his nefarious railroad-baron backer. Mycilum man2 needs to change his tampon. This movie is funny as hell. Unlike the movies now days being snowflake sensitive not to hurt people's witle feelings. But then again look at the current cancel culture there even a bigger joke looking like clowns pushing their mental ideals down kids throats.

Hilarious! Can't go wrong with Mel Brooks! Obviously mycilum man2 has no idea this movie was also written by Richard Pryor. Funny is funny anyway you cut it.

Mel Brooks is a masterful comedy writer who started out making fun of the Nazis during WW2. Now he turns the tables on American culture with this examination of our prejudices and greed by making light of them. He was triggering the cancel culture long before South Park!
