About this ebook

The Wheel of Time is now an original series on Prime Video, starring Rosamund Pike as Moiraine!

The Eye of the World, the first novel in Robert Jordan's #1 New York Times bestselling epic fantasy series, The Wheel of Time®, follows Moiraine Damodred as she arrives in Emond's Field on a quest to find the one prophesized to stand against The Dark One.

The Wheel of Time turns and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth returns again. What was, what will be, and what is, may yet fall under the Shadow.

When a vicious band of half-men, half beasts invade the Two Rivers seeking their master’s enemy, Moiraine persuades Rand al’Thor and his friends to leave their home and enter a larger unimaginable world filled with dangers waiting in the shadows and in the light.

Since its debut in 1990, The Wheel of Time® has captivated millions of readers around the globe with its scope, originality, and compelling characters. The last six books in series were all instant #1 New York Times bestsellers, and The Eye of the World was named one of America's best-loved novels by PBS's The Great American Read.

Unbelievable how many folks are duped by this subpar work. And yet I read 6 of the books because the fantasy group I used to read on alt.rec. whatever had so many Jordan fans and I wanted to keep up with the discussions. it was long and good for reading on the bus. It was predictable, sexist epic quest foolishness where the entire trajectory of the story seems laid clear in the first lackluster chapters. 2 stars for giving me something to read while working at the worst job of my life. A nod to the author for the therapy provided, because consistency is soothing when life is hard. This series is consistently lackluster.

Good book. I only gave it four stars because the series does run a little slow. I read the first nine books in the fifth grade, and they are definitely doable. The fourteenth and final installment comes out by Brandon Sanderson and Robert Jordan in January. I need to re-read all of them so I can finish the series. :)

For those of you who have calling this book 'boring,' 'uninteresting,' or any of the like, you may be murdered in your sleep by me if you're not careful. THIS IS MY FAVORITE BOOK EVER!!!!! The plot is well developed and described and the twists are literally EVERYWHERE!! People briefly mentioned here turn out to be the incarnation and personification of evil!!! I pity you poor, sad, little people who are too impatient to enjoy this masterpiece. I await anxiously the next book in the series that's going to come out this year. If I had a fraction of the talent that Robert Jordan has, I would consider myself the most blessed person on the planet. And I know books. I've read half the books in my library.
