I really enjoyed the relationship between Clay and Nova. Their relationship was messy, but I couldn't help but root for them. I liked that we got both of their points of views throughout the book. Lance and Carly did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future. I would recommend this series if you’re looking for a grumpy sunshine romance, sports romance, or contemporary romance.

Clay and Nova go through some major growth both individually and as a couple. Nova is finally becoming a strong, independent woman chasing after her dreams and passion. Clay has to hit absolute rock bottom before he can truly grasp what is important in his life and exactly what he’ll have to do to get it. Clay and Nova are so good for each other and it has been so much fun seeing them find their way to each other.
