Inheritance has an intriguing premise that reeled me in and kept me turning pages. Parts of this were fun and sweet and other aspects downright creepy. I was intrigued to understand what was going on and how it would all play out. It isn't fully clear to me if we will get other couples in the next two books, or the same couple from this one, and I struggled slightly with that. This one ends on a cliffhanger I didn't quite see coming and can't wait for the next one!

A fantasy romance from Nora Roberts with a gothic cursed mansion? Yes, please! I was sucked in immediately. This generational haunting goes back 2 centuries. Sonya is such a strong & resilient character. I loved experiencing her & Trey connect. The atmosphere was gothic & intriguing. That cliffhanger has me itching for the next audiobook! Brittany Pressley was cast perfectly for this role. Her timing, pitch, pace, & tone was perfect. Her characterizations were spot on.

If anyone witnessed me reading the end of this book, they'd have seen me having a silent(it was 3 in the morning)tantrum. It ends on a cliffhanger SO GOOD that I can't even be mad. This story has mystery, romance, spooky chills, and strong bonds of love. I am vibrating with anticipation for the next book in this series. 🥰
