About this ebook

"I'm Sebastian, Lord St. Vincent. I can't be celibate. Everyone knows that."

Desperate to escape her scheming relatives, Evangeline Jenner has sought the help of the most infamous scoundrel in London.

A marriage of convenience is the only solution.

No one would have ever paired the shy, stammering wallflower with the sinfully handsome viscount. It quickly becomes clear, however, that Evie is a woman of hidden strength—and Sebastian desires her more than any woman he's ever known.

Determined to win her husband's elusive heart, Evie dares to strike a bargain with the devil: If Sebastian can stay celibate for three months, she will allow him into her bed.

When Evie is threatened by a vengeful enemy from the past, Sebastian vows to do whatever it takes to protect his wife . . . even at the expense of his own life.

Together they will defy their perilous fate, for the sake of all-consuming love.

This is a lovely romance. I loved Evangeline's character. Evie is special. A wallflower with a stem made of steel. When Sebastian married her out of desperation on both of their parts, he learned there was more to this little wallflower than he bargained for. Loved the story; loved the characters; loved the danger and near-death situations; love that Sebastian's life was turned around from selfish rake to loving unselfish passionate loyal husband. Evie never dreamed her life would end up the way it did. She had just wanted to get away from her emotionally and physically abusive family. She gained more than she ever thought she would. She gained a loving, loyal marriage partner. An excellent romance. I do recommend it.

If you don't cheer for Evie, I don't know what to say to you. Reforming a Rake without compromising yourself. Epic. Love a story that involves a heroine that refuses to change herself for someone else. Her charcters preceived "awkwardness" is her defining feature, which ends up being celebrated and makes her my favorite "wallflower." An imperfect person, falling in love with another imperfect person. In short, Life. Loved the time spent witnessing St. Vincent fall for Evie. Loved it!
