About this ebook

# 1 New York Times Bestseller

The inspiration for season two of BRIDGERTON, a series created by Shondaland for Netflix, from #1 New York Times bestselling author Julia Quinn: the story of Anthony Bridgerton in the second of her beloved Regency-set novels featuring the charming, powerful Bridgerton family.

ANTHONY’S STORY

This time the gossip columnists have it wrong. London’s most elusive bachelor Anthony Bridgerton hasn’t just decided to marry—he’s even chosen a wife! The only obstacle is his intended’s older sister, Kate Sheffield—the most meddlesome woman ever to grace a London ballroom. The spirited schemer is driving Anthony mad with her determination to stop the betrothal, but when he closes his eyes at night, Kate’s the woman haunting his increasingly erotic dreams...

Contrary to popular belief, Kate is quite sure that reformed rakes do not make the best husbands—and Anthony Bridgerton is the most wicked rogue of them all. Kate’s determined to protect her sister—but she fears her own heart is vulnerable. And when Anthony’s lips touch hers, she’s suddenly afraid she might not be able to resist the reprehensible rake herself...

ok so I really enjoyed the start but I have to say some of the plot is really similar to the 1st book. The whole engagement bit was wild, I don't hate it tbh because I found it very funny but it felt a bit lazy. Then his whole 'issue' was so dumb, so so so so soo dumb. It just annoyed me because he was being such a god damn idiot and I could not understand why.. I do love the enemies to lovers trope can't deny it but by the end they didn't take the piss out of each other enough which was kinda sad. I read this after watching the TV show and it's sad the lack of period esque stuff.. it's just a smut book with period clothing which I'm not mad about but I kinda am.

No words. Hands down. I read this over and over and this is my ultimate go-to when I'm feeling sad. Though I want Anthony for myself, I can't bring myself to hate Kate either.

This was an amazing read for myself. I fell in love with the heroine so much! Shes not perfect, she's not a beauty that captures everyone's attention, she stays true to herself, and she's human. This book was marvelous and I enjoyed every second of it!
