Really beautiful and disturbing artwork, the kind that sends a chill down your spine. Definitely worth reading if you're a short horror story fan.

Never have I been so engaged in a horror manga before reading this. You will truly feel shivers with each macabre illustration. Each story is masterfully written, with artwork that will haunt your dreams long after you put it down. Terrifying and exciting journeys await you within this collection. Junji Ito has done a great service for those looking for stories that will disturb.

Yet another terrifying and deeply disturbing collection by Junji Ito, the stories and art work shook me to my core. Fortunately, that's exactly what I was looking for in a manga. The fact that it's not colored brings out the bleak world and inevitable doom the characters live in, there is always darkness looming like a giant over the protagonists and stalking them like a panther. Every panel brings more and more dread until you reach the twisted end, just to begin again in the next story. I definitely recommend this to anyone that's looking for something to make them fear even the most innocuous of things, like a dream that seems to last too long or a haunting melody played from a rare record.
