About this ebook

“One of my favorite authors.”—Colleen Hoover

An insightful, delightful, instant #1 New York Times bestseller from the author of Beach Read and People We Meet on Vacation.

Named a Most Anticipated Book of 2022 by Oprah Daily ∙ Today ∙ ParadeMarie Claire ∙ Bustle ∙ PopSugar ∙ Katie Couric Media ∙ Book Bub ∙ SheReads ∙ Medium ∙ The Washington Post ∙ and more!

One summer. Two rivals. A plot twist they didn't see coming...

Nora Stephens' life is books—she’s read them all—and she is not that type of heroine. Not the plucky one, not the laidback dream girl, and especially not the sweetheart. In fact, the only people Nora is a heroine for are her clients, for whom she lands enormous deals as a cutthroat literary agent, and her beloved little sister Libby.

Which is why she agrees to go to Sunshine Falls, North Carolina for the month of August when Libby begs her for a sisters’ trip away—with visions of a small town transformation for Nora, who she’s convinced needs to become the heroine in her own story. But instead of picnics in meadows, or run-ins with a handsome country doctor or bulging-forearmed bartender, Nora keeps bumping into Charlie Lastra, a bookish brooding editor from back in the city. It would be a meet-cute if not for the fact that they’ve met many times and it’s never been cute.

If Nora knows she’s not an ideal heroine, Charlie knows he’s nobody’s hero, but as they are thrown together again and again—in a series of coincidences no editor worth their salt would allow—what they discover might just unravel the carefully crafted stories they’ve written about themselves.

Pas liat covernya udah seneng banget, tahu buku ini dari good reads. Tokoh cewek sama tokoh cowok, candaan dan dialognya lucu dan segar. cuman pas udah setengah buku agak slow motion gitu, jadi sempet ditarik ga lanjut baca. Secara keseluruhan, excellent.

I love it so much. It is better than I expected. I really love Nora and Charlie. I feel relate to Nora so much: older sibling, growing up with absent father figure, trying to be strong. I cried several times while reading this. Nora and Charlie's banter is so much fun to read.

Book Lovers by Emily Henry is a beautiful novel about family, love, and living a life at full volume. There are many parts that make this story so enjoyable: the amazing sisterly bond between Nora and Libby, the relationship between Charlie and Nora, the nod to and the love of books, as well as the small town vibe. Nora and her sister Libby are in small town Sunshine Falls when they bump into Charlie, Nora's nemesis back in New York where she's a high powered literary agent and Charlie's an editor. Nora and Charlie struggle as enemies often do, until these two become lovers . What makes this book so enjoyable is the lovely relationship between Nora and Libby and the way that Charlie and Nora find their way to each other. The laugh-out-loud scenes from Nora's lists to Charlie's comebacks to her insults adds another layer to the depth of this story; as do the conversations between Nora and Libby. This book had an amazing small town vibe with the usual shenanigans, pun-named establishments, a colorful cast of secondary characters, and numerous funny moments. Readers will definitely recognize much of themselves in these characters. I highly recommend Book Lovers to other readers. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
