Shadowed Steel

I absolutely love this series!! Chicagoland Vampires is one of my favorite series. So after reading and listening to that series numerous times I was extremely excited to read and listen to to Elisa and Connors story. There is an introduction to new characters in this series. And that's where the story begins. This first book set up the relationships impeccably. The following book have allowed those relationships to grow.. There's a unique chemistry between Connor and Elisa. Then there is Mallory's daughter LuLu. She has turned her back on magic. These three friends have grown up together and now that they are adults they have become a team. We were also introduced to some new friends and some old friends. What a great team they will all be! I loved everything about this story! I can see that I'm going to love this series. Possibly more than the Chicagoland Vampires series! I love the dynamics and the wonderful friendship between the characters.

I have always loved this author's stories, and this new spin-off keeps me reading her work. Elisa is strong just like her mom and I love it! After a trip with Connor to a pack function, Elisa finds herself being tracked by none other than the entire Vampire Council after her for a few transgressions. Really? She only tried to save a life and that may cost her hers? Elisa also finds herself having to make a choice that she never thought she would have to... I absolutely love this younger generation and Connor, Lulu and now Alexei is fantastic. I really hope the banter between Lulu and Alexei goes somewhere good. Can't wait to see what this author gives us next.
