Waste of time and money. This is like reading the captions on a poorly made documentary. Had it been more of a novel than a mere listing of facts, it would have been a lot better.

Excellently paced and genuinely terrifying. Well told given the difficulties securing sources. Thorough and morbidly fascinating.

Charles made killing his patients as normal a habit as we would changing underware; remove something (or someone) used to have something (or someone) new...only to begin the cycle once more. I would bet that he secretly loves the sick attention he is getting from the publicity. He is his own biggest fan. He has a large vile of bad karma coming his way. Good read.

Charles Graeber has been honored with an Overseas Press Club award for Outstanding International Journalism, an Edgar nomination, and a citation of merit by the British Medical Association. He has contributed to publications including The New Yorker, New York Magazine, GQ, Bloomberg Businessweek, Vogue, The Cambodia Daily, The Phnom Penh Post, The Budapest Sun, The Nantucket Beacon, MIT Technology Review and The New York Times, and been anthologized in The Best American Crime Writing, The Best American Science Writing, The Best American Business Writing, The Best of 10 Years of National Geographic Adventure, The Best of 20 years of Wired and other collections. Born in Iowa, he now lives closer to saltwater.
