About this ebook

The #1 New York Times Bestseller: “A hilarious take on that age-old problem: getting the beloved child to go to sleep” (NPR).

“Hell no, you can’t go to the bathroom. You know where you can go? The f**k to sleep.”

Go the Fuck to Sleep is a book for parents who live in the real world, where a few snoozing kitties and cutesy rhymes don’t always send a toddler sailing blissfully off to dreamland. Profane, affectionate, and radically honest, it captures the familiar—and unspoken—tribulations of putting your little angel down for the night.

Read by a host of celebrities, from Samuel L. Jackson to Jennifer Garner, this subversively funny bestselling storybook will not actually put your kids to sleep, but it will leave you laughing so hard you won’t care.

We are going through the terrible 2 phase early and my son refuses to sleep or do anything besides making a mess. So my sister happened to show me the book and since he is still too small to understand I'll read it and it puts him to sleep instantly. Plus we get a good laugh after some frustration trying to calm him down.

Half amusing, but extremely redundant. Honestly the title is half the book on repeat! But any parent can also relate to the feeling it shares. Perfect for anyone who has ever tried to put a kid to sleep when the don't want to. Also a fun gift idea for soon-to-be or new parents or a night-time babysitter.

This book is quite entertaining! I only read this to my son when he was very young, since he wouldn't be able to remember the bad words (long term memory forms later). This book says things all parents think about saying when a baby just won't go to sleep. Finally someone wrote a book for parents like my husband and myself! Such a hoot!
