Improve your play with these Mobile Legends tips

Mobile Legends take time and patience to truly master, but this advice will help you get as much bang (bang) for your buck as possible in the early stages. Read on for tips on how to get started in Mobile Legends, from hero selection to in-game tips and strategies that will give you an edge in your first few matches.

Learn the hero in front of you

There are a lot of heroes in Mobile Legends. In the early going, however, not all of these champions will be available to you. Take advantage of this by digging into the heroes you are provided. Tinker with them, see what lane assignment is best for them and why, and figure out which archetype you like the most. Once you have that, you'll know which heroes to pursue when it's time to unlock others.

Stay in your lane

Each hero is recommended for a certain lane assignment for a reason. Heroes are designed to be at their best when used where the game tells you they should go. Use these designations as an opportunity to learn each of the different assignments and what makes them unique. From there, choose which assignment you want to focus on first, and use heroes made for that area until you're ready to move on.

Don't forget equipment

During a match, you may notice a choice of two equipment options will appear on the top-right corner of the screen. Those equipment pieces are important buffs to your character that stack during the course of a game, and they're paramount to victory. Make sure to stay on top of when an equipment choice is coming up for your hero, and make your choice as soon as possible to reap the full benefits.

Learn the art of jungling

Running in one of the three lanes is a lesson in patience, timing, and restraint. Jungling, on the other hand, lets you run wild against the myriad monsters that occupy the center areas. Racking up kills in the jungle areas is a huge boon to your entire team, which makes learning the role a worthwhile endeavor. However, you'll also have to know when you can challenge certain monsters during a match.

Don't play Ranked too early

You'll notice that Ranked mode isn't available until Level 6. This is by design; a newcomer going into ranked mode without a few Classic matches under their belts is asking for defeat. Even after you've hit Level 6 and unlocked Ranked, there's no reason to jump in right away. Hone your skills, and when Classic Mode isn't offering the challenge it once was, head over to Ranked.
