UPDATE: Function has improved. Square was fine to begin with but now I have nothing but trouble with it. It continually says it is offline (and I have to do a force stop to get it to work) or that I have no internet connection when I know I do. Also, the chip reader fails to recognize cards on a regular basis & I end up having to manually enter the number. When I've asked Square about it, they say it is a Verizon problem. Verizon says it's a Square problem. Bottom line, it is a problem for me.

Being forced to enable notifications and location is extremely annoying and very much not needed or wanted. The interface has become very convoluted and confusing. If you update an invoice to paid the system doesn't reflect that on the main invoice screen. There's no reason to be forcing permissions to be enabled for anything. Stream line the interface, clean it up and make it user friendly again. I liked being able to open the app and be in my invoices.

In order to use the Square Point of Sale app on your device, you need to enable Location Services, Push Notifications, Microphone, Bluetooth, and Local Network permissions. Without these permissions, the app won't work, and you can't process payments with Square. For assistance with your Square Invoices, please contact our Support Team.

App and CusSer is garbage. It's always crashing. I've lost numerous sales because the equipment keeps trying to reconnect and when using the tap feature on my phone it's hit and miss but mostly miss. I hate Square app. I know people think they are good. But sometimes good just isn't good enough. Deleted and Uninstalled. And notifying all my people not to deal with or download Square.
