I pre-registered when this game was eligible for that, and it was fine when it released. Now it has so many problems including but not limited to: Attacks flat-out missing; certain monsters appear only through hunt-a-thons, bad drop rates for rare stuff, not being able to give parameters for your palico to paintball...and then some. Plus after a certain point there's really no incentive to keep ranking up. If they want players to drop this game after season 1, it's working so far. Keep it up!

Progress slows down once you get to grade 5 materials and not sure who they are kidding with their in-app "deals". The game has really improved in the last couple of weeks, though. There are lots of events, and you can even hunt specific monsters by taking out a number of large monsters. It does feel like Niantic listens to reviews and is improving the experience. It's definitely worth trying out. I Only wish there was an easier way for coop. Maybe some way to do long distance with friends?

The game is honestly really fun. It manages to replicate the gameplay loop of real Monster Hunter games very well. It's not without it's issues, though. The drop rates for higher tiered monster items are frustratingly low. Zenny is basically useless, as items are purchased with real world money, which is frustrating. The Palico will paintball random monsters, instead of ones you need. You can't play in a car, even as a passenger, even just to pick up items.
