Personal Safety is an app that helps you prepare and react in an emergency by quickly connecting you with the help and information you need.
Features
On phones
• Emergency SOS: Get help in an emergency by pressing the power button quickly five times or more. Then, your phone can:
\t ◦ Call emergency services or any number you choose
\t ◦ Share your location and critical info with your emergency contacts
\t ◦ Record, back up and share a video
• Emergency Sharing: Share your real-time location and critical info with your emergency contacts. Also works with Google Assistant.
• Safety Check: Set a check-in timer for your phone to confirm you’re safe. If you don’t respond when the timer runs out, Emergency Sharing automatically starts. Also works with Google Assistant.
• Car Crash Detection (Pixel phones only): Get help calling emergency services after a car crash. If your Pixel phone detects that you've been in a crash, it can call for help automatically. Not available for all countries, languages and devices. For availability details, go to g.co/pixel/carcrashdetection.
• Crisis alerts: Get notified about natural disasters and public emergencies near you.
• Medical info and emergency contacts: You can make this info visible when your phone is locked. In supported countries, you can also choose to automatically share this info if you contact emergency services.
On Pixel Watch
• Fall Detection: Your watch can detect a hard fall and call for help.
• Emergency SOS: Press the crown quickly five times or more to call emergency services or an emergency contact.

I just became aware of this app today when it started launching, making my phone run so hot it repeatedly shut down and dropped from 87% to 7% in an hour and a half. The screen kept flashing and launching the app, resulting in an erroneous 911 call and doing some sort of emergency video recording I couldn't turn off or dismiss. I restarted my phone and disabled the app before it could start up again; it's been 6 hours without any issues.

my phone suddenly hot all the time, battery life from 89% to 16% not even 30 minutes time. the app it just showed up. It needs a lot of work. I keep getting pop ups that system is not working, or whatever app I am on . I get pop ups the app is not working and the app is working just fine it will keep saying it every few seconds interrupt what you are doing so pushing wait option is useless . Have to close app , start all over. So aggravating!!!

Hi Errol. Check that you have the latest Android software. Make sure your software version starts with "QQ3." If it starts with a different version, update your system until you reach the version that starts with "QQ3." Learn how to check your Android version: https://goo.gle/3mEur3n. Thanks.

It just installed, but there's no icon in the app drawer, and it's nowhere to be found in the settings menus. A one-time intro came up to get it going, but that's now gone too, so no apparent way to get back to it. UPDATE: app has now appeared in settings menu, with a link to add app to app drawer to get all of the features. Changed from initial 1 star to 3 stars. May revise again after checking out the functionality.
