Jasmine and Gino had a lot to sort out on Sunday’s episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After

Following the bombshell last week that Jasmine was thinking of divorce — and a return to her kids in Panama — Gino switched his way of thinking to better accommodate his bride. Though he previously said he wouldn’t hire an immigration attorney to help Jasmine’s kids come to America, he comforted his crying wife with the promise to put more effort into reuniting her family

“I honestly thought that Jasmine’s threats to go back to Panama and give up on our relationship, that she was just being melodramatic,” Gino told cameras. “We haven't really even talked about the issues for over a week, but now that I see how upset she is, I'm really worried.”

Jasmine cried to Gino that she felt untethered in America, specifically because he wasn’t comforting her through her family heartbreak. Gino seemed to respond well to Jasmine’s honest admissions, and her wish for more support. With his new promise to let an immigration attorney look over their paperwork — and to adjust Jasmine’s visa so she can return to Panama in 8 months — they seemed to step into a new chapter of marital communication.

Later in the episode, Jasmine took honesty to a whole new level when she decided to put their baby making plan on hold. Jasmine’s views on Gino as a dad appeared to change due to his lack of effort bringing her two sons to America.

This isn’t the first time Jasmine has hurled the idea that Gino isn’t fit to be a father — though in the past, it was done in the heat of an argument. Jasmine told cameras she was concerned about his potential. “I really feel bad about telling Gino that he isn't father material,” Jasmine told cameras. “But now that my children won't be here for two years and my mom is sick, I need to focus on coping with those things.”

When Gino asked Jasmine to confirm she still wants to have a child with him, she sidestepped. “Like, do you feel ready to be a dad?” she asked. “Children are exhausting, baby. So it's going to be tough. And we are not getting any younger…I can tell you I don't have the same energy.”

The episode ended before Jasmine had a chance to put things bluntly, but admitted to cameras she doesn't think Gino has what it takes to be a father.
