Whitney Houston

Whitney Houston was an American singer and actress. She rose to international fame after the release of her debut album, Whitney Houston, in 1985. As one of the best-selling musicians of all time, Houston received numerous awards throughout her lifetime, including two Emmy Awards, six Grammy Awards and 28 Guinness World Records, including one for being the most honored female singer of all time. She died in 2012 at age 48 of an accidental drowning with heart disease and cocaine use as contributing factors.
