Model Who Alleges Bill Cosby Drugged and Assaulted Her Speaks Out: I'll Never 'Get Over' What Happened

Model Chloe Goins says she’s still suffering after coming forward with her claim that she was sexually assaulted by Bill Cosby.

The 24-year-old, whose allegations may be the first to fall within the statute of limitations and lead to a criminal case against the comedian, spoke recently with Dr. Phil McGraw along with four others among more than 40 women who have come forward over the past year accusing Cosby, 78, of drugging and assaulting them.

Many of their stories echo the experiences of the five women who first spoke to PEOPLE in 2006 for an article that helped to break open the scandal, which began after Andrea Constand, a former Temple University employee, filed a civil suit claiming that Cosby drugged and sexually assaulted her in his Philadelphia-area mansion in 2004. Constand’s suit was settled out of court.

On an upcoming episode of Dr. Phil, Goins alleges the comedian drugged and assaulted her at the Playboy Mansion in 2008.

“It’s been really hard, especially with coming out publicly,” Goins tells Dr. Phil in a preview of the episode. “Unfortunately, with these types of cases the victim gets really scrutinized and dug into. My life has been completely dug into by people, and it’s been a tough road.”

The alleged attacks raised by other women go back as far as the 1960s. One accuser, Beth Ferrier, went public in the 2006 PEOPLE interview, saying she believes the comedian slipped something into her cappuccino in the mid-1980s.

“It makes me upset every time I think about it,” Goins says in the new clip. “It was a disgusting thing that happened to me, that happened to these other women, and I’ll never be able to fully grasp that or get over that.”

Goins came forward with the allegations in January. Following her claims, Cosby’s attorney, Martin Singer, released a statement refuting the allegations, stating that Cosby was in New York on the date that Goins claimed she was assaulted at the Playboy Mansion in California and that Cosby’s lawyers would be “providing documentary evidence to the appropriate authorities which conclusively establishes Mr. Cosby’s whereabouts on August 9th and for the preceding and succeeding days.”

“If he has evidence then we would like to see it, and the LAPD would like to see it too,” Goins’ lawyer Spencer Kuvin told PEOPLE in January.

Singer has previously shot down accusations against his client, but in a recently released 2005 deposition, Cosby admitted to having given a woman Quaaludes before having sex with her. Singer did not immediately respond to a request for comment but has previously said that claims “about alleged decades-old events are becomingly increasingly ridiculous.”

Cosby is scheduled to give his testimony Oct. 9. The deposition will mark the first time he will speak about a sexual-assault allegation against him since a separate case in 2005.
