Reese Witherspoon Says She Would Be a ‘Yorkie’ If She Were a Dog: ‘I’m Not a Rottweiler’

Dog lover Reese Witherspoon has a special request for her fans and their pet pups.

On Monday, The Morning Show star, 47, shared a video on Instagram revealing that she's on the lookout for any dogs that resemble her, while also discussing which breed she thinks she would be if she were a pooch.

"I think I'm a Yorkie," Witherspoon said immediately in the clip. "Or, you know what I'm not? I'm not a Rottweiler. I'm not a Doberman Pinscher," she explained, admitting that she "could be a Golden Retriever."

"But that little Dachshund one, isn't it cute?" she added, before joking, "I saw one of those golden ones at the mall and I picked it up and I almost put it in my purse."

The actress then went on to urge any of her followers who have a dog that looks like her to get in touch.

"If somebody out there has a dog that looks like me, I will come meet your dog. Oh I will." she said. "But, I've got to agree, send me a picture. I will come meet your dog. I'm talking like a Yorkie. I'm talking like a mini Dachshund, one of the golden ones."

"But you're also going to need to change the name of your dog to Reese Witherspoon," she laughed.

Witherspoon, who launched Reese's Bark Club in December, captioned the post, "Dog lookalike submissions are open 🐶."

The Little Fires Everywhere star then posted an example of what she was looking for, sharing a snap of herself posing next to her friend Candace Nelson's dog on her Instagram Story.

Witherspoon joked, 'This is my friend @candacenelson dog and I have to say ... we kind of look ... related' alongside a crying with laughter emoji.

The mother of three's post comes after she spent some quality mother-daughter time with her lookalike daughter Ava Phillippe, 24, in Paris.

The pair have been sightseeing in the French capital while attending Paris Fashion Week, with Witherspoon posting an array of photos from their trip with the caption, "January in Paris 🍷❄️🖼️." 

"🥂🥰," commented Ava, who Witherspoon shares with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe.

On Thursday, Witherspoon and Ava attended Fendi’s Haute Couture show and the duo certainly dressed to impress for the outing.

While Witherspoon looked sophisticated in a black mini dress featuring a high collar and flared skirt, Ava added a splash of color with a yellow turtleneck top, gray shorts and a trench coat.

Along with Ava, Witherspoon also shares son Deacon, 20, with ex Phillippe, and son Tennesse, 11, with her second husband Jim Toth, whom she settled her divorce from in August 2023.
