Kristen Taekman Screams as Her Toenail Is Removed After Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip Injury: ‘That Hurt’

Kristen Taekman might want to stay away from Real Housewives vacations.

Nearly a decade after her lip was cut by a thrown plastic glass during a Real Housewives of New York City trip to Montana, Taekman was injured again — this time, losing her toenail during a trip to St. Barts.

The gruesome injury played out on episode 5 of Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: RHONY Legacy, which premiered Thursday on Peacock.

Taekman, 46, had been surfing with costars Luann de Lesseps, Kelly Bensimon and Dorinda Medley when she noticed the nail on her left foot's big toe was hanging off. "Oh my god, my toenail just came up," she told a producer, as the called a medic.

The mother of two went on to explain that she had stubbed her toe "really bad" about six months prior to the trip.  “For a while, the toenail was fine," she said. "[But on] day 2 of dancing in St. Barts, I noticed that the toenail was a little loose."

After seeking advice from a medical responder named Frank, it was determined that Taekman's toenail "might as well come all the way off" as "it's basically off at this point."

"I think you have to take it off. I think you just have to take it off," Taekman said, biting down on her finger and screaming in agony as Frank examined the injury with a scalpel. "Oh my God, that hurt. Oh my god! Just rip it off!"

“Can you get some rosé ready? Like legit. I need some wine,” the model pleaded as she looked to her RHONY costars for support. “Can somebody come hold my hand?"

Medley answered the call, though confessed it was more because she was "in love with the ER guy."

"Well if I ever need my toenail ripped off, I’m going to call you up. Maybe you should give me your number?" she cheekily said to him, as he joked, "You have to lose a toenail first."

"Let me think about it," said Medley, 59. "I’ll take a little gore to get his number."

Meanwhile, Taekman continued to scream in pain as Frank began removing the nail.

Morgan, Medley and Ramona Singer looked on in disgust, squirming at the sight of it. “Give her a painkiller!” shouted Singer, 67, as Morgan, 60, mimicked mimicked the sound of vomiting. "I feel it," winced Medley.

Once removed. Frank gave the nail to Taekman as a souvenir. 'Oh my god, it’s so disgusting," she said.

She was then left to limit by herself back from the beach, as she jokingly teased her costars for leaving her hanging. "So, so sympathetic, this group," she said. "And you wonder why people travel with their husbands..."

Taekmen provided some more background on the injury — which she called “toe gate” — in a video posted to her Instagram Thursday.

As she got herself ready, she explained that she and her fellow Housewives were “dancing in the sand” when all of a sudden she noticed (with a gag) that her toenail was “lifting” and there was “sand underneath” it. 

She said she then volunteered to surf first “because I looked down at my toe and the whole thing was lifted and up. So gross.”

“The second I got out of the water, you see me go over to the production person like, 'Uh, you guys — I gotta get this taken care of.' "

Taekman, who departed RHONY in 2016, also took the moment to clarify that she had surfed before the trip, and blamed editing for making her “not look like a good surfer.”

“For the record, I did get up numerous times and they never showed it. So whatever,” she said after sharing that she’s previously surfed in Costa Rica, Hawaii and the Hamptons.
