Malaysian influencer Jasmine Yong revealed that her 2-year-old son Enzo — whom she often shared in posts on Instagram — died after drowning in a hotel pool while she and her husband were asleep in the room next door.

In a series of Instagram posts, Jasmine shared that she, her husband Lim Kong Wang and Enzo had checked into a hotel to celebrate Mother's Day on Saturday, May 11.

"As always, he snuggled up next to us and drank milk before falling asleep," she wrote in a caption translated to English.

The couple then took a nap and, when she awoke, Enzo was no longer in the room.

"We also took a nap. When I woke up, I found that he was not next to me," she wrote, adding that she saw that "the originally locked door of the indoor swimming pool had been opened."

Upon walking outside, she found Enzo in the swimming pool and unresponsive.

Though they tried performing CPR, "there was no response," she wrote, adding that "due to the poor network in the hotel, we couldn't make a call for help either."

"We hurriedly ran to the hotel lobby with the baby in our arms and asked the hotel staff to help call an ambulance and provide first aid until the ambulance arrived," she continued. "Half an hour after being sent to the hospital for rescue, the baby finally recovered his heartbeat but was still in a coma."

Ultimately, Jasmine wrote, Enzo's "heartbeat stopped" due to insufficient oxygen supply.

"Our baby Enzo has become a happy little angel👼🏻," she wrote in one post. "There is no pain or hardship anymore."

Jasmine first shared news of Enzo's accident in an Instagram post on Thursday, May 16. In the post, she revealed her son was "in the intensive care unit."

"We need everyone's strength and blessings to pray that Enzo will wake up quickly and come back home," she wrote at the time, not revealing the events of the accident.

In addition to her explanation about the accident leading to Enzo's death, Jasmine also shared a series of images from what appeared to be a memorial for the toddler, with a video showing people releasing balloons to the sky and some images showing colorful drawings Enzo had made.

"Thanks for everyone’s prayers and blessings," she added in her caption, which she ended with a plea that no one "exaggerate, quote out of context, or make things out of nothing."
