On Wednesday, the Recording Academy announced that Billy Joel, 74, has been added to the performance lineup of the upcoming 2024 Grammy Awards. The music legend will take to the stage at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Feb. 4, along with the previously announced slate of A-list performers, including Billie Eilish, Burna Boy, Dua Lipa, Luke Combs, Olivia Rodrigo and Travis Scott. Joel revealed that new music was on the way on Instagram on Monday by sharing a teaser trailer that unveiled the track’s title and its release date, set for Feb. 1. “Turn the Lights Back On” marks the first new material from the singer-songwriter since 2007 — which is when he released "All My Life,” penned for then-wife Katie Lee, and "Christmas in Fallujah” with musician Cass Dillon.
