Goldie Hawn is one proud mom!

The actress, 78, celebrated her daughter Kate Hudson's new single release by sharing a clip of its music video on Instagram and a sweet message about her talent.

"My daughter's talent has transcended just being a proud mother to pure awe," wrote Hawn about the song "Live Forever."

"This song makes me weep for the bittersweet truth about motherhood and growing up together. A must listen ❤️," continued Hawn.

The song, along with its music video, is a dedication to Hudson's 20-year-old son Ryder.

"I was so young when Ryder was born," Hudson, 44, recalled in a statement. "I look back and marvel; I was almost a kid, too, so we were able to fall in love with growing up at the same time. And when you listen to the song and watch, it sweeps you up like someone's arms around you."

Hudson added on Instagram that the song is also "a love letter to parents and the kids waving goodbye."

"Our babies leave us eventually and we have to watch them go take on the world. Some of us were so young that we were trying to figure out who we were simultaneously. That's this song for me," the Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery star wrote.

Hudson shares Ryder with ex Chris Robinson. She is also a mom to son Bingham, 12 with ex Matt Bellamy, and daughter Rani, 5, with fiancé Danny Fujikawa.

Last month, Hudson shared with PEOPLE that watching Ryder and her children grow up has been an eye-opening experience.

"I guess while raising him, [I was] just in it and present, and then they fly the nest, and they're sort of cooked — and they're adults! You look back going, 'Wow, I can't believe [it],'" said Hudson.

Hudson told PEOPLE that reflecting on her life while writing music for her upcoming album, which is slated for release later this year, was a "cathartic" process.

"I wrote the songs, so they're very personal, and each one is a different kind of expression of myself. Every [song] will feel different, but obviously, I think, very authentic to me," she said.
