Brooke Shields and Daughter Rowan Match in Figure-Hugging Red Dresses for Sweet Red Carpet Date

Brooke Shields shared a sweet matching moment with her daughter Rowan Henchy.

The actress, 58, and Rowan, 20, stepped out for a mother-daughter date night at the Wednesday, May 8, premiere of Shields’ new romantic comedy Mother of the Bride. On the red carpet at the Los Angeles event, the duo cozied up for photos in matching red dresses (and showed off their matching tattoos).

Shields stunned in body-con bandage dress, accessorizing with matching red pumps and gold jewelry. Her signature long, dark hair was styled into a side part with loose waves cascading over one shoulder.

Rowan also got the red memo, opting for a red A-line dress with black and white trim and a heart design on the bodice. She completed the look with black heels, a small red purse and layered necklaces. Rowan’s hair was also styled similarly to her mom's in loose waves.

The 20-year-old shared an adorable TikTok video of her and her mom in the car on the way to the event. In the clip, they take turns lip-synching the lyrics to Sabrina Carpenter’s viral song “Espresso.” Rowan captioned the video, "Red is our color for the night."

Shields shares daughters Rowan and Grier, 18, with her husband, Chris Henchy. During a Thursday, May 2, appearance on SiriusXM's The Jess Cagle Show, the star spoke about her close bond with her daughters and becoming an empty-nester when both girls head to college in the fall.

"Yeah, I've been avoiding thinking of it because people will say to me, 'Oh, you're gonna be so relieved,' and I just don't see it happening," she shared.

The actress added, "I don't see it happening. I was like, 'Well, they're still gonna come back,' and by the way, the cost of just living in this city is so prohibitive anyways that it may work in my favor."

Shields also admitted that her daughters still sleep in her bed when her husband is out of town,

“You know, the minute my husband is on any type of work trip or gone or something, you know, they still sleep in the bed with me," she said. "We still watch rom-coms. They're my babies and they will never not be."

In this week’s issue of PEOPLE, the star said she’s “not ready” for her daughters to leave home.

"I'll see if when I get there, but I think I'm going to be even...the thought of no longer living 24/7 in the house with these people that I've raised, it's just very foreign,” she said. “It's like going to a totally foreign territory."
