Aspyn Ovard’s Divorce: What to Know About the YouTuber and Her Husband Parker Ferris amid their Split

YouTuber Aspyn Ovard has made a career out of documenting her life with her husband, Parker Ferris, and kids.

However, in April 2024, Ovard filed for divorce the same day she announced the birth of their third child. The pair, who also share daughters Cove and Lola, got married in October 2015. 

Ovard started vlogging about her life on YouTube when she was still in high school, with Ferris chiming in as they launched their joint channel.

From how they met to her divorce filing, here’s everything to know about Aspyn Ovard and Parker Ferris’ relationship.

Ovard started posting YouTube videos in high school

Ovard first began posting on both of her YouTube channels when she was in high school, mainly sharing vlog content and makeup and beauty hacks. She also included Ferris in her videos from the very beginning, posting boyfriend tags and comedy videos like him doing her makeup.

One of her accounts now has 2 million subscribers, which she converted into a joint account for her and Ferris before changing it back to just her name in March 2024. Her other account, which she stopped posting on in March 2022, has over 3 million subscribers.

Ferris has often supported Ovard in her social media career from editing her videos to helping her film content for YouTube, TikTok and Instagram. Additionally, he helped Ovard run her clothing brand, Luca + Grae, before it went on an indefinite pause.

Ovard also spoke about how Ferris helped take care of their daughters — whom she made an effort to keep private in recent years — so she could have time to film. Ferris often joined Ovard in videos on their previously joint channel, vlogging about their daily life.

They met while they were in school

Though they went to the same elementary school in fourth grade, Ovard and Ferris said in a YouTube video detailing how they met that they didn’t know each other — and it wasn’t until they were both in high school that they connected.

The first time they hung out was during a party at Ovard’s neighbor's house. While they had mutual friends, Ovard and Ferris went to different high schools, but by the end of their sophomore year, their friend groups combined and they kept hanging out.

Throughout that summer, they hung out nearly daily and by the time their junior year rolled around, both knew the other had feelings for each other, but Ovard didn’t want a relationship.

“We were a thing but we weren’t exclusive at all, but Parker just wanted me so bad and I just knew,” she said. “I would just keep him around which is sad and not nice so if you’re in high school don’t do that to someone, except sometimes it works out and you get married.”

They got married when they were 19 and 20

After getting engaged in August 2015, Ovard and Ferris got married in an intimate ceremony in Utah on Oct. 23, 2015. Ovard was 19 at the time while Ferris was 20.

"I have a wife! She has a husband!” Ferris said in a video recounting the special day. “I’m sure it will hit me a little later once we actually get situated, living together, normal married life.”

The couple added that they didn’t expect each other to get so emotional, but when Ferris saw Ovard walk down the aisle, he teared up.

“I didn’t know if he was gonna cry because he saw me in my dress yesterday but he did,” she said. “And then I was just trying really hard not to cry.”

They’ve built multiple homes together

In 2022, Ovard and Ferris started building their fourth home together, but this time they customized it with their own floor plan and wood colors. Ovard posted updates about the home building process throughout 2022 from picking bathroom tiles to the paint colors.

The house was eventually done in January 2023, but by that June they ended up selling their new home, deciding that they weren’t sure if they wanted to stay in Utah and commit to the property.

“It’s been over three years since we decided to build…so I feel like 24-year-old us made this decision that 27-year-old us is like we’re not actually sure if that’s what we want to do,” she said in a video explaining why they sold the house. “I’m so glad we’ve had the extra time to think about it because it gave us that chance to decide this is not what’s going to be the best thing for our family right now.”

Ovard explained that they were starting to have more interest in moving to California and spending time there, which they wouldn’t be able to do if they moved into the Utah home.

They share three children

Ovard and Ferris welcomed their first daughter, Cove, on Aug. 17, 2019. Two years later, their second daughter, Lola, joined the family in October. Ovard was open about her struggles to adjust to life as a mom of two when she first welcomed Lola, sharing her sleeping schedule and milestones on her YouTube channel.

In a January 2024 video, Ovard explained that she missed having a nanny because trying to balance work with her two toddler daughters was difficult as they ran in and out of her room during the day.

“On these days I want to just get all my stuff done and not have to go from mom mode to working to mom mode, it just makes it a little harder,” she said in the vlog. “I’m just overwhelmed.”

Ovard announced she was expecting her third daughter with Ferris in October 2023. The baby, whose name the couple have yet to reveal, was born early at 34 weeks, which left Ovard “in shock,” she said in a TikTok video.

“My brain is just not processing what’s happening,” she said, adding, “She’s in the NICU right now, she’s doing really well, but she’s super early so she’s going to be there for a minute.”

Ovard was discharged from the hospital shortly after giving birth and, in one video, she documented herself cleaning her house because she “didn’t know what else to do” while her daughter was in the NICU.

Ovard filed for divorce the same day she announced the birth of their daughter

On April 1, 2024, PEOPLE obtained documents revealing that Ovard had filed for divorce from her husband. However, Ferris is still wearing his wedding ring.

Fans had speculated that there may be a rift between the couple as he rarely appeared in their vlogs anymore and Ovard changed the name of their joint YouTube channel to just her name.

The couple have yet to publicly address their split, and on April 17, Ovard and Ferris paused divorce proceedings to focus on negotiating a settlement.
