‘Southern Charm’ alum Kathryn Dennis seen crying, arguing with cops after DUI arrest: ‘Y’all are ruining my life’
Kathryn Dennis threw a fit after getting arrested for driving under the influence Monday night in South Carolina.
In video obtained by TMZ, the “Southern Charm” alum could be seen arguing with police as they conducted a few field sobriety tests before placing her in handcuffs.
When the officer told the 32-year-old to put her hands behind her back, Dennis replied, “Wait why? Am I in trouble?”
Once Dennis was placed in the backseat, she started arguing with the policeman up front.
“Ya’ll are ruining my life — and my kids’ [lives],” she said. “Thanks for nothing.”
Although the former Bravo star claimed the cops “didn’t do a field sobriety test,” dash camera footage showed the man walking her through several exercises, including the walk-and-turn test and the one-leg stand test.
After the officer said he was going to do a blood alcohol test, Dennis told him she wasn’t “stupid” and knew how this would play out.
“This is some bulls—t though,” she continued. “It’s really messed up for you guys to just like take people in though. What if they have kids? Because it could really affect their children’s lives.”
Dennis shares daughter Kensington, 10, and son Saint Julien, 8 with ex Thomas Ravenel.
Although Dennis said she “doesn’t give a f—k” what happens to her, she then ranted about how she “didn’t deserve” to be arrested.
“You’re treating me like an animal it’s just crazy,” she told the officer as he buckled her in. “Get out of my face. Why are you so close to me?”
As the policeman closed the door, she told him he was “disgusting” and “gross” for getting in her personal space.
Seemingly out of nowhere, the mother of two started crying about wanting her dog, who was in the car with her at the time of the accident.
“I want my dog!” she exclaimed. “I want my puppy! Please let me have my puppy.”
While it’s unclear what the police were saying outside the vehicle, Dennis told them she would “sue the s—t out” of them if they brought the pooch to an animal shelter.
“He means everything to me,” she pleaded. “This is bulls—t. I just want my dog to be OK.”
The video ended with Dennis promising the police she will “f—king ruin” them when she is released.
A rep for Dennis did not immediately return Page Six’s request for comment.
The former Bravolebrity was arrested Monday in Goose Creek, S.C., in connection to a three-car collision. When police arrived at the scene, they found Dennis to have “glossy eyes and an odor of alcohol” coming from her.
She allegedly had an open container in her vehicle.
The former reality TV star has been open about her substance abuse issues in the past, previously completing a rehab stint in Malibu, Calif.
However, she revealed in August 2019 that she is not fully sober and still consumes alcohol.
While this is the first time that Dennis has been arrested, she was involved in an alleged hit-and-run at an elementary school last year.
