You'll soon be able to remotely uninstall Android apps using other devices connected to your Google account.

The new feature is coming with the Google Play Store's December 2023 update, 9to5Google reports. Once you get the update, navigate to Manage apps & devices and tap the Manage tab. There, you can tap the checkbox next to the app(s) you want removed. You'll confirm again in a pop-up and the app(s) will uninstall the next time the secondary device is turned on and online.

Google's changelog lists Auto, PC, Phone, TV, and Wear as supported platforms. Thus, it appears as though the feature will be best used for managing devices that may have complex app management. After all, it's easy to uninstall an app from a phone whenever you want, but it takes a bit longer to do it on a TV or smartwatch.

According to TheSpAndroid, which posted screenshots of the functionality, you can sort apps on your various devices by name or size. That makes it easier to find a specific app or to free up space by removing larger apps or games.

Google hasn't said when the update, known as version 38.8, will roll out to the masses.
