CMS Tip: Use the “Clone” feature to save time

November 4, 2019

Hello <<First Name>>,

When creating multiple pieces of closely related content like recurring events or page-level alerts, users can save some time with the “Clone” feature in the CMS.

How to clone (copy) a page:
  • Start from the specific page that will be cloned or from a dropdown menu on the “All content” or “My content” pages
  • Click “Clone” from either of these entry points
Cloning at the page-level:

Cloning from the “All content” or “My content” pages:
The cloned page is an exact copy of the original page, so it’s important to change anything necessary in your new content. Check details like:
  • Specific dates
  • File attachments
  • Scheduled publishing
The 1 thing that must be changed in the cloned version is the Title. The CMS won’t let users save the item until this is done. See the example to the right.
