CMS Tips: Change the "authored by" designation of content in bulk

Aug. 29, 2019

Hello <<First Name>>:

In a recent release, the ability to change the “authored by” designation of content in bulk was implemented. This can save time in your day from having to change the designation page-by-page and ensure an active user in your organization is alerted whenever the content is updated.

To switch the "authored by" designation on content in bulk, submit a Mass.gov ServiceNow request and include the following information:

  • The previous user
  • The name of the user who should be assigned the content
  • Whether or not the user who last owned the content still needs an account

Note: The new owner becomes a watcher of the content automatically.

If you need assistance on making a ServiceNow request, visit the Knowledge Base.

Sincerely,

The Mass.gov team

P.S. Don't forget to sign up for the User Group Meeting happening on Sept. 16th from 2-4 pm on the 21st Floor of Ashburton Place.
