Overall responsible for the following –
Ensure that instruments related to Gas Chromatography & Mass Spectrometry facility function properly.
Able to develop analytical methods using DHA, Simdist and advanced Multi-dimensional Gas chromatography instruments(GCxGC-TOF-MS,GCxGC-SCD/NCD)
Plan and schedule the analytical activities and conducting analysis.
Prepare and release analysis report after sample analysis and review the data, deliver the analysis report as per TAT and ensure the accuracy of test results obtained.
Work with team to develop and validate the analytical method for characterization of crude oil, petroleum fractions, petrochemical samples using Gas chromatographic & Mass spectrometry instruments and advanced software for petroleum product analysis, and prepare the STPs.
Prepare Monthly report highlighting turn-around time for samples receives from different R&D verticals, manufacturing sites and businesses for Gas Chromatography & Mass Spectrometry analysis.
Carry out Literature survey for new method development.
Discuss with project leads for project milestones and provide analytical contribution timely.
Monitoring and complying the LIMS & ISO 9001 requirements and follow GLP guidelines.
Ensure that Instrument calibration is performed at the defined interval in Calibration Frequency Schedule.
Ensure availability of standard operating procedures (SOP) for each analytical instrument.
Carry out routine maintenance and troubleshooting Instruments and coordinate with vendor for maintenance and breakdown.
Prepare optional analysis plan during major break down of instrument.
Procure standards, instrument spares and consumables on a planned basis, ensure availability of utilities and supplies required for instruments in use and in Lab area.
Prepare Annual Budget with respect to Opex and Capex for Gas Chromatography & Mass Spectrometry.
Plan and maintain resources to execute the lab experiments/analysis successfully.
Align analytical activities according to defined Leadership Goals and Annual Operating Plan.
Attend analytical and R & D verticals projects meetings, interact with cross functional team members across the verticals, manufacturing sites and businesses.
Accountable for Safety, Health and Environment while working in laboratory.
Contribute in AOP projects according to defined business requirements and plant troubleshooting.
Publish the research paper and technical reports.
