Product Development Manager - Skin Care

Qualification & Experience:

• Ph.D/ M.Tech / M.Pharm

• 7-10 years of experience in FMCG/Pharma Topical Industry

Key Deliverables of the Role:

• Championing skin care technology development across global markets-South Asia, EM-SEANS, MENA
• Leading technology innovations in the skin care category
• Competition and patent tracking, to bring in insights and present a business case for innovations
• Lead NPDs end to end from the ideation to implementation stage. Be the technical project leader in the organization
• Develop product strategy for design and potential market deployments
• Collaborate with Consumer Technical Insights team to mine insights into product design
• Champion value management initiatives
• Collaborate and develop projects with other national/international labs: generate program scope and run programs successfully
• Represent R&D in internal and external forums
• Publish research articles in scientific journals, generate IPR
• Drive outside-in expertise by identification & working with external experts, dermats , universities & institutions

• Consumer trends –Able to identify consumer trends/habits/attitudes through closer interactions.
• Co-creation-ability to work with cross-functional teams to convert consumer insights into business opportunities
• Application of domain knowledge to convert technology into relevant consumer benefitting products mixes and ser-vices
• Must exhibit technology led entrepreneurship –ability to create unique (first to market) consumer values that differentiate from existing product and pack
• Ability to leverage technical expertise of business associates in new businesses
• Project management-ability to handle multiple projects at different stages of development.

Upwards – Head, Hair & Skin

Downwards –Team of Executives & Senior Officers

Plant Manufacturing teams, New Product Development team, Marketing team, Insights team, Legal
