I figure out I had ADHD last year, but I didn’t seek an official diagnosis and medication until this year. I’m 30 years old, my school days are long behind me. I slipped through the cracks because I have predominately inattentive type and I was a quiet little girl. Having ADHD does not mean you have to be hyperactive and loud, it means you have a processing problem in your brain that doesn’t allow you to regulate your focus or emotions.

Mental health even now is still taboo to talk about. People are more open now than ever about it however and that gives me hope.

This is a profoundly personal comic and it only reflects my own experience with ADHD. It is on a spectrum with a wide range of personalities. But if my story connects with someone else and helps them, that would mean the world to me.

Bojan visited his former primary school, OŠ Vodmat!

Published on OŠ Vodmat primary school's website on 21.5.2024.

📝ENG Translation: We were visited by former pupil Bojan Cvjetićanin

In his busy schedule, he found time to come and congratulate us on 60 years of excellent work, taking time to talk and hug with both school staff and students. Bojan is a Human with a capital letter and a big heart. We are proud of him as a music maker, and even prouder of the fact that he has kept his heart and his sparkling personality.

Bojan, thank you for the visit, the laughter, the joy and the autographs. 😄 Come again soon. Vodmat's door is always open for you. 💖

The Holidate (Spet me k tebi vleče) - Chapter 15

“Hey, uhm …” Kris begins while fidgeting with his coffee cup. “I’ve been thinking …”

He’s leaning against the kitchen counter, already dressed and ready to leave the house, waiting for Bojan to finish up as well. The other appears in the doorway to their- … to Kris’ bedroom, fiddling with the buttons of his shirt and his hair still a little damp from the shower.

Kris doesn’t think he will ever get tired of seeing him this way.

“Oh yeah?” Bojan asks with a grin. “This early in the morning? That’s new.”

ENG translation: "When I'm on stage, I know that I have to be here and only here"

An interview with Bojan Cvjetićanin in Slovenian newspaper Delo, originally published 31.10.2021.

Original article is available here for Delo subscribers. Original article written by Beti Burger for Delo; photos by Blaž Samec; English translation by a member of Joker Out Subs, native proof reading by IG GBoleyn123.

Bojan Cvjetićanin, frontman of Joker Out, says that the success happening to them is not the result of something that happened overnight.

When he's standing on stage, he doesn't know what's actually going on. Even though after the concert, he realises that he was on it, and remembers certain moments, he's actually in a zen-like state: his head is somewhere else, and his brain does what it wants to do. Young, reflective musician Bojan Cvjetićanin believes that he was born to write music and lyrics and sing them on stage. "What I enjoy the most at a concert is when we play a new song from start to finish with the band for the first time and we're 'vibing'."

ENG translation: "We are advocates of the fact that it is possible to create in our language"

After a fantastic recent concert season with the currently most popular Slovenian music group Joker Out, who have already broken all boundaries at home, the boys are now ready to conquer the world's music stages. European first, said the band's two members, guitarist Kris Guštin and singer Bojan Cvjetićanin, modestly, when we met in their rehearsal room, "Then we'll think ahead." A few days after our conversation, Joker Out embarked on a new tour, which will include 13 European countries, including France, Belgium and Italy. Among others, they will be playing at some of the world's most iconic venues, such as the O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire in London and the Academy 2 in Manchester. A musical success that has no comparison here.

Joker Out in Metropolitan magazine: "Another step forward"

An interview with Bojan Cvjetićanin and Kris Guštin in the autumn/winter 2023 issue of Metropolitan magazine (published 27.10.2023). They talk about their plans for next year (recording in London, touring, and the new album), the way they approach making music, and how they've changed after Eurovision.

Another step forward

The highly successful group Joker Out, consisting of Bojan Cvjetićanin, Kris Guštin, Nace Jordan, Jan Peteh and Jure Maček, is already well-known and warmly received here. The biggest night of their career - sold-out Stožice - is behind them. 12 thousand listeners (including me) gathered in Ljubljana's arena, where we enjoyed hit after hit for two whole hours. Even though they're still young and at a relatively early stage of their journey, Joker Out are already an accepted constant on the Slovenian, and now also international, music scene. They're so omnipresent and so high-profile that it feels like they've been active for decades already, even though we've only really started listening to them. So we are definitely interested to see what else they will get up to in the future.
