This case was a replacement for a mistake I made with my personal rig years back. I followed a trend which I normally would not do and built in the NZXT H400. Not a terrible case but poor airflow.
My i9 9900k and RTX 2070 didn't suffer in the NZXT at all. In fact CPU idle temps hung around 32c with a 68-72f room temp. However, under extreme loads with a mild overclock I would see my CPU rise to mid 60s and GPU do the same. Well within safety zone but not what I wanted from a system cooled by a 280 radiator.
After re--building in the North I saw a drastic drop in CPU and GPU idle temps. CPU at 22c and GPU at 24c. Under load I am seeing peak temps in the mid 50s. I am using the factory case fans with the rad as intake, 2x 140mm corsair LL140 fans as top exhaust and a Noctua industrial 120mm as rear exhaust.
I plan to upgrade all fans to Noctua industrial shortly.
The North is very easy to build in and offers reasonable cable management room in the back.

Tired of cases that look like a ufo fell in a vat of radioactive skittles. This one is elegant and doesn't stick out like a sore thumb in my home. LEDs are minimal - just one small white LED on top to show on/off.
Also no trouble setting it up. Lots of removable parts so it's easy to get to everything. Very roomy and easy to fit everything in
The building was easy, although I never found a fan hub in the cable management section so don't let it break your heart on that level (no biggie for me). Perhaps it was for the mesh-sided case.
I LOVE the overall smart designs, especially the easy-release (my term) PSU dock. It's super useful when swapping out psu's or just working on cable management, especially with a fully modular PSU. And just the back design: It's beautiful. First time ever I could sneak a little 80mm rear exhaust fan in addition to the standard 120. Never thought I would check out a computer's backside so much, lol!
All the dust panels are incredibly easy to access and remove--YES!!! But be aware that the top slides off almost too easily, and the front could pop off fairly easily during transport. I now A. slide the top off and set it aside and B. I am VERY careful about not using the bottom of the front cover as a handle if I need to move the case. This thing is such a beauty--and really a design marvel--I don't want to risk dropping it.
Would recommend this to anyone. Thanks to Fractal Design for letting me have my cake and eat it too with my (secretly classy) bedroom/office gaming setup! I'm very incredibly pleased.

I'll start with the design. In my opinion, it is one of the best minimalist designs I have seen.
But the quality... Don't get me wrong, the metal is very dense, the glass is good, the meshes and other elements are generally well made. But everything regarding screws (in any part of the case) is simply terrible. Any screws are very tight. Many of the holes seem to be slightly offset. Every time I have to press the side covers very tightly to screw or unscrew them. I had the same problems with the screws for the power supply frame, and with any other removable components. It was especially unpleasant to screw in the video card. The holes for it were quite displaced. The motherboard also had one hole displaced, but in the end I was able to screw it in.
The last thing I want to talk about is the side panel fan mount. This may be obvious to some, but it only goes into the mesh version of the sidebar.
In conclusion, I want to say that this is a fairly good case, it has all the necessary features for a good build. If you are ready to put up with some of the disadvantages that I voiced, then take it without thinking. It's really well designed and has plenty of room for cables, cooling and a video card. So I'm willing to put up with some shortcomings for the sake of design. I just think for the price it could be of better quality.
