There are a ton of CRM qualifications, and if you are serious about a career in CRM and CX, at some stage you'll need to get certified by an industry body that has some credibility. In particular, you should look for those that focus on customer loyalty as a goal. Your knowledge of software, social media and hardware can easily be learned. However, never underestimate the value of your ability to communicate with empathy. To this end, I know that any course in crisis counselling can make a huge difference, as it not only gives you the skills to be empathetic with others, but also creates a greater self-awareness of who you are.

I had to learn CRM on the job, I had no certifications at all. Firstly I familiarized myself with the basics of CRM concepts, methodologies, and best practices; understanding customer lifecycle management, sales processes, marketing automation, and customer service strategies I found was key in my role at Edfin. After a while I started using Hubspot and found out they have certifications, I quickly enrolled for a course. I have also been fortunate to encounter other CRM professionals, who have helped me and guided me through processes.

Gaining a certificate is great but it can only take you so far. Without the application the certificate is redundant. So I would suggest putting your applied learning into practice by asking for access to a demo version of the tool you’ve just qualified for. That way you’re sharpening your knowledge and growing in confidence simultaneously.

My recommendation: If you want to be the expert in demand focus on learning how to do Business Process modeling and how to map these processes in a CRM software Business process modeling (BPM) is the practice of representing business processes in a visual format, typically using flowcharts, diagrams, or specific modeling languages. This is where 99% CRM implementations fails

I've been working with CRM for about 10 years, with plenty of different systems. Having a certification has never been something that has been an issue or even a request. I would recommend getting in there and learning by doing. It is much more important to understand CRM practices, what works in what setting, etc. What I have learned so far is that all platforms are the same in all aspects that matter. Then we have the details and unique USPs:s from each platform - which is fairly easy to get into when you finally sit down with it. So in short - focus more on what you can bring in terms of CRM knowledge and less on the specific platforms.
-
I agree and additionally, CRM software facilitates team communication by providing a centralized platform for sharing customer information, collaborating on projects, and tracking progress. This improves internal collaboration and ensures that everyone in the organization is aligned and working towards a common goal.
-
Selecting the right CRM certification is crucial for career advancement. For instance, if you're interested in Microsoft Dynamics 365, consider certifications such as "Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Customer Service Functional Consultant Associate" or "Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Sales Functional Consultant Associate." Similarly, for Salesforce, explore certifications like "Salesforce Certified Administrator" or "Salesforce Certified Sales Cloud Consultant" based on your career aspirations.

Die Frage ist, ob Zertifizierung notwendig ist und in welchem Umfang. Bei uns ist es Teil der Unternehmenszertifizierung und wir nicht extra zertifiziert, aber natürlich vom Datenschutzbeauftragten überwacht.
-
I agree that it's important when it starts with personalisèd choices because at times we may think customer relationship can translate into sales yet this may not be the case
