2020 in brief

INRS has published the key figures of the year 2020.

Electromagnetic fields, occupational bore-out, musculoskeletal disorders, psychosocial risks, new technologies, chemical risks, collaborative robotics, exoskeletons, polyexposure, artificial intelligence, endocrine disruptors, recycling of batteries, 3D printing… etc.; for INRS the year 2020 was marked by numerous achievements in occupational safety and health: studies, publications, tools, training… 2020 was also marked by a commitment to the Covid-19 health crisis to support companies in the implementation of prevention initiatives and by constant mobilization on all occupational risks.

Activity

To contribute to the prevention of occupational accidents and diseases, INRS uses four complementary means of action, broken down as follows:

Studies and Research

91 studies performed by close to 270 people in 20 laboratories specialised in chemical, physical, mechanical, physiological, psychosocial risks, etc.
121 articles published in scientific and technical journals
67 presentations made during e-conferences and seminars
About 30 PhD students hosted in 2020

Training

805,808 people trained by organisations certified by INRS
23,300 people registered on the INRS self-study website to acquire the basics in occupational risk prevention
Within the framework of a partnership with the Ministry for Education, over a million students in vocational education received training in occupational safety and health in 2020.

Assistance

22,600 external requests for expertise answered by experts in the legal, medical and technical fields
Documentation centre with 80,000 references in all fields of occupational risk
46 experts active in 67 French and international standardisation committees and 126 working groups

Information et communication

10,8 million hits and 9 million documents downloaded on www.inrs.fr
3 journalsTravail et Sécurité (163,000 subscribers); Hygiène et Sécurité du Travail and Références en santé au travail
76,000 suscribers to the electronic newsletter as at end 2020

1.5 million videos viewed on YouTube

16 events, adapted to the pandemic context, brought together 9,650 participants.
