ロケーションを選択する

Cross-Cloud Interconnect を使用する場合、Google が Google Cloud ネットワークとアマゾンウェブサービス（AWS）ネットワークの間の物理的な接続をプロビジョニングします。

Google がこれらの接続を確立する前に、Google と AWS の両方のポートを注文する必要があります。このプロセスの準備として、Google Cloud のロケーションと、接続に使用する AWS のロケーションを特定します。

ロケーション選択のベストプラクティス

接続場所を決める際には、次の点を考慮してください。

使用する大半の Google Cloud リソースはどこにあるのか。
使用する大半の AWS リソースはどこにあるのか。

両方のクラウドのリソースが同じ場所にある場合、選択は簡単です。そうでない場合は、接続を Google Cloud リソースと AWS リソースのどちらに近づけるかを検討します。接続が AWS リソースに近い場合、トラフィックは Google ネットワーク上を移動するためにより多くの時間を費やします（一般的には、こちらが選択されます）。ただし、両方のクラウドで発生する可能性が高いアウトバウンドデータ転送の費用も考慮する必要があります。

ロケーションの影響を受ける要素

このセクションでは、選択したロケーションの影響を受ける要素について説明します。

VLAN アタッチメント

Cross-Cloud Interconnect 接続が確立されたら、Google Cloud で VLAN アタッチメントを構成する必要があります。VLAN アタッチメントは、リモートクラウドネットワークと Virtual Private Cloud ネットワーク内の単一リージョン間の論理接続です。

ポートのロケーションを選択すると、VLAN アタッチメントを配置できるリージョンの数が制限されます。このため、サポートされているロケーションの表には、各ポートのロケーションで提供される Google Cloud リージョンの列が含まれています。

エッジアベイラビリティドメイン

各大都市圏に 2 つの Google Cloud エッジアベイラビリティドメインがあります。メンテナンスによって同じ大都市圏の 2 つのドメインが同時に停止することはありません。このため、プライマリポートと冗長ポートのロケーションを選択するときに、各ポートが同じ大都市圏の異なるエッジアベイラビリティドメインを使用するように選択する必要があります。これは、ポートの順序に関係なく該当します。Google Cloud CLI を使用する場合は、各エッジアベイラビリティドメインを明示的に指定する必要があります。Google Cloud コンソールを使用する場合は、ロケーションを選択するだけで、Google Cloud が各ドメインのポートを予約します。

gcloud CLI の場合、ロケーション名の 2 番目の情報がエッジアベイラビリティドメインです。たとえば、ロケーション名が iad-zone1-1 の場合、エッジアベイラビリティドメインは zone1 です。ロケーション名が iad-zone2-1 の場合、エッジアベイラビリティゾーンは zone2 です。

コロケーション施設

Google は通常、単一のコロケーション施設内で各接続をプロビジョニングします。ただし、隣接する施設が同じ事業者によって運営されている場合は、その施設間で接続が作成されることがあります。いずれの場合でも、施設名を知っている必要はありません。このため、サポートされているロケーションの表には特定の施設名が含まれていません。

サポートされているロケーションのリスト

次の表に、AWS でサポートされているロケーションと、対応する Google Cloud のロケーションを示します。

Cross-Cloud Interconnect ポートの Google Cloud のロケーションを指定する必要があります。また、他のクラウドプロバイダのポートを接続する場所も指定する必要があります。このドキュメントセットと Google Cloud では、後者の AWS ロケーションをリモートロケーションと呼んでいます。Cross-Cloud Interconnect を注文する際は、必ずリモートロケーション名を使用してください。リモートクラウドプロバイダによってロケーション名が若干異なりますが、そのクラウドプロバイダのポートを注文する際に使用した名前を使用します。

ロケーション名によって構文の違いがあります。次に例を示します。

リモートロケーションの名前は、AWS と Google Cloud のどちらを使用するかによって異なります。
Google Cloud の場合、Google Cloud コンソールでロケーション名の横にリモートロケーションの説明が表示されます。この説明は、正しいロケーションの選択に役立ちます。
Google Cloud の場合、Google Cloud コンソールの Cloud Interconnect のロケーション（リモートロケーションではない）は実際の Cloud Interconnect のロケーション名ではなく、施設の情報が表示されます。

可用性を確認する

使用するロケーションを特定したら、利用可能な 10 Gbps または 100 Gbps の Direct Connect ポートがあることを再度確認します。ポートの可用性は予告なく変更されることがあるため、この手順は役に立ちます。

AWS コンソールで作業している場合は、接続の注文中に可用性を確認できます。事前に可用性を確認するには、AWS CLI を使用します。

AWS CLI

describe-locations コマンドを使用して、AWS ロケーションで利用可能な接続に関する情報を取得します。次に例を示します。

ロケーションとリージョンに関する注意事項

前のセクションを確認したら、次の値をメモします。

リモートロケーション（Google Cloud での名前）と Google Cloud のロケーション。これらの値は、Cross-Cloud Interconnect 接続を注文する際に必要になります。
リモートロケーション（AWS での名前）と、接続リソースを配置するリージョン。これらの値は、AWS ポートを注文して AWS リソースを構成する際に必要になります。
VLAN アタッチメントを配置する Google Cloud リージョン。この値は、アタッチメントを作成するときに必要になります（Google Cloud リソースの構成を参照）。
